Hi, Deb...I think you spelled it right...just reversed the order of the words. Very close...LOL! Also plantar fasciaitis (sp?) is very painful and takes a long time to heal.

My feet were a regular saga. I originally had surgery on the bunion on the left foot about 3 years ago in August...6 weeks in a cast and had to use crutches and was not allowed to let my foot even touch the floor. About 4 months later I had surgery on the bunion on my right foot. It was 2 weeks in a walking cast and then 4 weeks in a soft cast. After xrays were taken, it showed that the gone did not heal. So...I had to go into hard cast and use crutches again for 6 weeks and not let foot touch floor. It did heal beautifully then. Ok...next, I had a neuroma removed. That went ok sort of. I had relief for awhile but then my left foot started bothering me again like I never had bunion surgery as well as the neuroma removed. So an MRI was taken it was found that a bone in the joint area of my big toe was arthritic, not because of arthritis but because of over use from all the jumping around I did. So...that December (2 years ago) I had that bone removed the stump neuroma removed from right foot and a neuroma removed from left foot. So...4 times in surgery. That should have been the end of it.

I have trouble now with left foot because of the type of bunion surgery I had. It was very involved and a wedge was cut in the bone but because of what I do the mechanics of that foot isn't quite right. Regular power walking is hard on it..the constant pushing off really hurts the joint where the bunion was and the big toe is starting to drift again. There is a surgery to correct that but as the podiatrist said, nothing turns out the way it should with me...story of my life...so she is hestitant to do anything until it bothers my lifestyle. I do feel it is getting worse but I am nursing it along for now. If I can't exercise because of my feet then I will have to do something because I must exercise for my heart health.

All in all I feel I am better off than I was except I can't wear any type of heel. Sigh...I am

I try for 5 and I do try to walk Otto every day. I'm much better getting in the cardio than weights which are also important.
