Good morning everyone! What's everyone up to today? I had
Looking at the picture you posted reminds me of a time of innocence.... Reflecting back to a time of great hope and lots of dreams of what my future would hold for me...Many of us in our middle ages trying to re-evaluate where our lives will take us from this day forward...
I have drifted back to the little girl I once knew...The little tomboy that would run through the woods all day long, enjoying the sun on her face before she was ever tainted with the harsh reality of what life really could be...Before becoming perhaps what others wanted her to be...
Being true to one's self and allowing what I was meant to be surface... Adjusting my life for my needs and not feeling guilty about it!!!
Hey, I have found when I'm happy so are those around me...
Today is Football Saturday!!! I am a Football freak!!! Watch all week-end!!! Any one else a fan of the game and what are the teams you root for? Michigan is my team soooo "Lets go Blue!!!"
Smile and make it great!!!
Let me just say
GO GATORS!
We bleed orange-and-blue. I put my flags on the car last night for today's game. :-)

Great picture, Patty! It reminds me of being a carefree girl, but even before that, reminded me of Erin's many slumber parties over the years. Those were good times. Along that line, I heard a song yesterday that I hadn't heard in ages, and all of a sudden in my mind I was 22 again. Now if only I could do that on the outside!! ;-)
I got 3 loads of laundry washed, dried, and put and away last night, addressed a few Christmas cards, skimmed "Self" and skimmed The Rosedale Diet book. It makes so much sense, but even though you're allowed to have lots of good fats, I don't know if I can give up grains and sugar for terribly long. I would like to try it for 3 weeks to see if I get the kind of results his patients have gotten, but I'll have to start after Thanksgiving.
The computer is saying 47 degrees

Great picture Patty, reminds me of my silly times with my sisters. We used to hang upside down all the time. At some point my dad taught us the game of drawing eyes on our chins, covering our nose and eyes and doing plays........silly I know, but lots of laughs and memories.
Well it is chilly out but I met Aunt Linda and Uncle John around 8:15 and we did our morning walk. Nice way to start the day.......honestly if they were not waiting for me I would find 10 thousand excused. Home now and I just finished a cup of tea and some oatmeal. The washer and dryer are busy swirling and twirling. I decided to invite our friends over tonight for dinner and drinks, just waiting to hear back if they can come. If so I will head to the butcher for a nice roast beef and the rest of the fixens. I also need to get the making of an apple crisp since that is what my family wants for dessert instead of apple pie for Thanksgiving dinner at inlaws.
As I sat down to read emails and catch up on the board my cell phone rang.......it was my office. I did not answer and well sure enough the house phone rang right after that. Katie answerd and quickly told my boss (argh) that I was out walking. Smart kid! I will call him back after I log off..........pain in my *ss.
Tomorrow Bill and I have plans to drive out to the east end of Long Island and pick up some fresh cauliflower, brussel sprouts and string beans for Thanksgiving. Oh and fresh apple cider too! House is pretty clean and well I think a good book might be in order for this weekend. Hope everyone has a great day today and the weather cooperates where you are. Those football fans, enjoy and I hope your teams win!

Good Morning,
Sunshine and fall like temperatures this morning. The trees are finally turning their beautiful fall colors.
I should have gone for an outside walk to loosen up my brain this morning but the thought of finding the warmer clothes to wear outside made me change my mind and find shorts and a tank and head to the basement for a walk/run/incline intervals on the treadmill. Unfortunately one of the after workout headaches set in about an hour afterwards. I'm trying to drink extra amounts of water and see if that helps. Maybe I pushed a little too hard-really never figured out what triggers these.
Anyway, had an early morning phone chat with DD in MA. We enjoy Project Runway and actually one of the girls on the show my DD knew from Parsons so we had to compare notes on the first episode. It was then off to Costco and a quick trip to the fruit and veggie store for my hunt for red and green peppers to roast for my Thanksgiving antipasto. I did find nice big beautiful ones that will roast up nicely. They are in the oven at the moment roasting away.
We're headed to Mt.Kisco this evening for the yearly Veterans Committee dinner dance. I feel a bit of place at this event since everyone seems to know everyone and I'm usually not very comfortable at these sort of things but DH insists on going so I'll make the best of it.
I think I'll make up a list of things I need to get at the grocery store tomorrow and put my menu down on paper and plan out things over the next few days. I'm so glad I'm taking Wednesday off. Hopefully I'll get a little bit of laundry done as well.
Hope everyone is enjoying a super Saturday.
