Hi, Patty and all you lovely ladies! Thank you all for the great responses to the Thanksgiving posts. Rhonda...thanks for sharing 3 recipes with all you have going on.
I wasn't going to do it but I did it! I got up and out to take the inten-sati class. It was just what I needed with all the stress I have had lately. The inspirational phrases had to do with strength and acceptance and changing what we cannot accept. Giving thanks for even the people who get on our nerves was a part of it too. Everything had to do with getting rid of negativity in ourselves and around us.
Then it was off to a supermarket to get asparagus...I forgot to buy them and a box of clementines. They are so good this time of year. After that, I headed to Kohl's with a 15% off coupon to use on the 50% off items. I got 4
Hope things aren't too crazy at work today Deb. Doesn't it always seem that everything gets done before the holidays whether we stress or not? Hope you get to enjoy the day.
That was some DD time...LOL! At least both of you will have pretty nails.
You really got a jump start on your Thanksgiving preparations, Susan! Sounds like you have the day well planned out. Great that you took the day off and I hope it means you can have a more relaxing T-day.
You reminded me about DD's b'day. Her's is on Wednesday but I didn't plan for it. We will have to do something on Wednesday. Would you believe she wants a Carvel Football Cake...turned into a tradition.
Your holiday plans sound really special. Truthfully, I rather see the out of state family on non holiday times. The traveling stress is just not worth it! Online shopping rules and taking advantage of free shipping is well worth it.
We started doing the charity thing instead of exchanging gifts. No one seems to "need" anything anymore. I do pick up a few little things and it makes things much more pleasant.
Thanks for words of encouragement and the update on Alison, Linda. I have heard it may take niece 3 or 4 times hitting bottom before making a turnaround.
Your T'day holiday will be perfect in that beautiful house in the mountains!
Enjoy your massage Nancy! What a nice gift to give yourself. Please let us know how cooking the turkey the day before goes. Sure would cut down on the last minute cooking and coordinating stress.
Hope you have a really special turkey day...it does sound possible to just have to set the table and relax...maybe in our next lifetime...LOL!
You did get a good start on your T-day preparations. You are putting me to shame. I will have to look up your bisquit recipe....I really like bisquits.
Are you getting a replacement carafe for a coffee maker? Most times it is cheaper to just buy a whole new coffee maker. DD had to do that and then she had
