It was a busy day at work and I ended up staying late to finish putting something together that needed to get out. Fortunately tonight's dinner was one more night of leftovers.
I did get my early morning exercise done and eating has gone well although there was some navigating around the bags of chocolate in the office. Apparently as a car needs gas to go a lot of the females in the office need chocolate to keep them going. I personally stuck to the snacks that I had-nuts and raisins and fresh strawberries and yogart.
DD's BF has two job offers so things are looking good for him joining the land of employment. The insurance issue has apparently been resolved for us as well. They said it was a mistake but you do wonder if it was some pressure from the union that may have sped up that resolution. Either way I'm certainly glad it was resolved and hope that it doesn't happen again.
It's a rainy and foggy night so once again dog walking was put on hold. It's just really nasty out there.
That's about it from here. I do believe it was a good start to the week.
Had a successful day today. It turned out to be a busy one with posting...LOL...and cooking. Now there are Thanksgiving leftovers as well as new healthy food in the fridge to eat this week.
I stuck to plan with eating and I feel like I ate way too much food, but I stayed within WW points as well as followed the Fat Smash program.
Susan...glad everything worked out with the insurance. Yeah...a mistake. How many times have we heard that one? Too bad you had to stay late at work. Good news about DD's BF getting two job offers.
Karen...WTG with all you accomplished. The stress level is definitely calming down here because I have decided that my sister has to own what is going on with her DD and not me. Things are totally out of control there and there is nothing I can do being in NY. She never listened to my advice all these years anyway, so some things never change. DD is doing really well. Keeping our fingers crossed she continues to feel good. I am now definitely going to get new glasses and contacts. I am on my last pair and I over wore them already.
Hope the rest of you lovely ladies had a successful day too.
I was gone most of the day till evening. Went by Sam's to see if they had those Fitz and Floyd dishes, but couldn't find them, picked up some lunch, and made it to the nursing home as they were bringing Dad's lunch. Mom was already there. Dad looked pretty good. I think he seemed about the same as he was Saturday, but he was showing changes then. I think he may have been worse when Lisa saw him last night, because it's common for people with dementia of any kind to have "sundowners syndrome", which makes them worse as the day wears on. He tires more easily now too. I did have the nurse finally put an alarm on him as he had at both other places, because the other day and twice today while I was there he was trying to get out of his wheelchair as though he thought he could walk to the bathroom by himself with no walker! I've been after them since he first got there about him being a fall risk, but they have some really looney rules about it, so he had to actually slide off the toilet the other day onto the floor trying to get up by himself
Congratulations to your son and your nephew and to you for such a productive day!
I know what you mean about small business ins. premiums. As small as Tim's co. is, he said his monthly premiums are $12,000.00!! Gulp!
Since your son is so into sports, I thought he might enjoy seeing this picture of my cousin's son (I guess that makes him my first cousin once removed or second cousin, depending on how you figure it). I hadn't seen him since he was a little kid until my aunt's funeral last week. She was his grandmother. I hope the picture will reproduce at a normal size, since I scanned it in. He is bigger in person than he looks in the photo. I sure wouldn't want to tangle with him. The title is for world heavyweight full contact, kickboxing champion! His dad said he was a jock in school -- baseball, football, soccer, wrestling, basketball, and outside of school, martial arts.
