Enjoy your "me" time Nancy. A very important part of every woman's life. I wish DH enjoyed grocery shopping. I can count on one hand the amount of times that man has seen the inside of a grocery store and the last time being 1988 when I had my gallbladder out and I couldn't lift anything. It got to the point where he finally asked me if I would be alright by myself as long as the bags weren't too heavy.
Love the pictures. Brings back thoughts of when DS was trying out every sport that there was in Middle School. Although he's 6'2" now although still only about 135 lbs he was at the time about 5' and probably not more than 60 lbs. I went to one match and although they go by the weight classification it was still a skinny little to by nothing. I remember going to the gym and covering my eyes! We still laugh over the pictures of him in his spandex!
It's been a long day. I didn't go to church today and it turns out it must have been fate. Couldn't sleep much at all last night, so I was really tired this morning. I told Tim I thought we should stay home, watch Joel O'Steen's sermon on TV, then go see Dad early. He agreed. About half way through the show, I got a call from Lisa at the nursing home that Dad was really in a bad way. He hadn't eaten since lunch yesterday or had anything to drink and was refusing any food or drink. He couldn't talk except to say he wanted his mother and just yes or no. The people at the nursing home weren't doing anything about it. They know his history of sensitivity to dehydration and that he's been going downhill since before this sudden move, yet it was just another day in paradise to them.
Tim and I got dressed ASAP and took separate cars there, so he could leave for a meeting later. Lisa had notified Mom, but we knew it would take her longer to get there. We were over there quickly and the ambulance guys were already there. I talked to Dad a little. He said, "Hi Baby" like he usually does to me. I heard him say he wanted his mother. I said, "Dad, do you mean Mom, Sherry, your wife, Sherry?" He said, "Yes." I told Lisa I knew that's what he meant.
Rhonda truely a great picture of you and your dad. I am so sorry you are going through this with your father. He is so blessed to have such a loving and caring family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I have to say I would be extremely disappointed and upset with the nursing home, especially knowing he has another urinary track infection. It is obvious that he is prone to it and you would think they would understand that. Can you file a complaint against them? Thank god you are all on top of the situation. Please keep us posted and know that I am thinking of you. (((HUGS)))

I never understood the benefit of HD TV until DS got it. Now that I have it I do enjoy it! Your faux fireplace sounds really nice.

Since I'm also a Cancer I found that a very interesting horoscope as well! Thinks it says a lot of the mood that I'm in at the moment.

Our snow pretty much ended last night.
I can so identify with what you're saying. We've lived in this house 15 1/2 years and Tim STILL doesn't know where a lot of things go. Drives me nuts!
We used to put underwear in the freezer at PJ parties. I'd love to see his face if you did that. :-)
