We have snow here, too, Patty.

Wow what a difference a day makes! Ok almost 2 days.
the weather is the BIG story here. It has been raining for about 48 hours straight. Wind at the coast reached 130MPH!! Here in town around 50MPH and still going. There is flooding, Mudlsides, road closures and electricity out. Work should be INsane!(roofing)
Saturday was a pretty nice lounging day.after finally going grocery shopping i pretty much laid around and rested for the big Van halen Concert. It BLEW ME AWAY! I expected much less of them and they were worth every penny. The special effects/ Movies (live shots of crowd and band) lasers ,sound and Wolfgang van halen was a great addition to the band..David still did a good amount of kicks as well as Eddie and they were just amazing..and I changed My beer Plan to good beer since i was paying 8.50 a pop!
sunday I slept in till 830!! woohoo! then after a Yummy breakfast I worked and watched football for 3 hours. YAY RAMS!Dishes, Mopping, paint touchups, living room and I even broke out the christmas decorations:)The living room looks very cute. saturday we bought paint for Alana's room and we will do that next weekend. Of course this morning I STILL found spots i missed on the touch ups..Luckily I saved the lil bit of paint. DH volunteered to pay for lunch yesterday had a nice salmon salad wrap and balnced it out with IPA beer:P
Good Morning,
A gray and dismal day out there this morning. It's supposed to get to the mid 40's but we have high wind warnings in effect as well so it will be feeling much colder.
DD and I got the inside of the house decorated and it really looks nice. My living room and dining room run the length of the house with large windows at each end. We always do the dining room window in white lights and we decided to do both of them this year. Thank goodness DD was here to help. I was definitely coordination challenged yesterday.
The DH must have seen the shovel coming out after yesterdays promises to do this and that and doing none of it. I'm so sick of telling me not to do something and I'll take care of it and then not following through. Apparently reading up on issues with DS' Mustang and football took priority all day. You could tell where I fell on that list. Then I got asked why all the bins got taken back to the basement and our bedroom window wasn't done. He's lucky he didn't get stuffed into one of the bins after I hit him over the head with the shovel. He must have been trying to get back in good graces since I found him unloading the dishwasher after I came up after my workout.
Patty-I understand the overwhelming feeling. It's something that I'm constantly battling around here on an almost daily basis. It's just not one closet though. There's just days when I want to throw everything out of the front lawn and put a big sign-Free Stuff!
I was up bright and early and down to the basement for a workout this morning. 20 minutes on the treadmill to wake me up and then on to a weight workout.
A 4 day work week for me this week and looking forward to having Friday off. DS has asked me once again to help him out with his Christmas shopping. I do feel bad since he works about 60 hour weeks and one day off a week. We'll have to sit and discuss his budget and ideas if he wants Mama to help him out.
Nothing much else going on around here. The customary before work chores and then off to the paying working world. We'll have to see what the weather holds before heading out with King Otto this evening.
Have a great day everyone!
Susan
Good morning ladies, I am typing and reading without glasses because, well I am too lazy to get up again and grab them from my purse..........so please forgive any typo's. I had a Christmas party on Friday night in towards the city. Susan, you probley heard of the place, Russo's on the Bay. In Howard Beach. It was one of the large abstract/title companies we deal with. We had an awsome time. I was the driver so I hade to behave, lol. Got home around 1 and threw myself under the covers for the girls were meeting at the train station at 8:30 for a day in Manhattan. What a great day we had. No plans, open minds and a good time. We walked to Times Square, decided to see if we could get tickets for a show. We decided to see Spam Alot (a Monty Python play) OMG it was so funny. We got $121 tickets for $80, not bad. Then went to an early lunch at Carmines (another awsome choice). Walked around for an hour, headed to Bryant Park to watch some skating and check out vendors then back to the theater. After the play we walked to Rockerfeller Center to see the tree, the windows at Saks, then over to St. Patricks for mass. Then we walked to a Starbucks had some coffee/Chi Tea and a bit of coffee cake then over to Macys for some shopping. Caught an 8:15 train back home and met hubby and Katie aat the diner around 9:30. What an awsome day!!! Sunday Bill put up one of my trees and I hope to decorate it tonight. Then we headed to my parents for an early dinner to celebrate my dad's 71st birthday. We are such partiers that we were both under our blankets at 9:30, lol. Bill decided to take off today and he is planning on fixing the fire place so that we have the gas insert done before Christmas. He got up early and dropped Katie off at school, then he is heading to our friends house to drop off an engine stand then he will hit Target for a few more bins to put away the rest of our everyday knick knacks and pictures. I am ready for the office and will be leaving shortly. Tonights menu is homemade chicken soup and I will start that at 5 when I get home. I have a 7:30 appointment at the GYN and I am not looking forward to that. Although I have not gone in like 3 years I know
