I had written about 1/2 my morning post when I got bumped off line this morning and had to get ready to go to the hospital. Patty, the piece you posted this morning was a really good one. I should print it and put it on my refrigerator. Also, when you mentioned the other day about how much you still had to do for Christmas, it hit me like the guy slapping himself in the 'Lectric Shave commercial where he says, "Thanks, I needed that!" I didn't really need a slap ;-), but it was a jolt to remember how much is yet to be done. I've been so focused on Dad's health that other than mailing cards, it

Happy to hear you're OK. Thank goodness it was just your neighbor's deck and not their house!

Found out today my Zumba instructor didn't compete in the fitness competition Nov. 3rd due to health concerns. I was really surprised. I knew she'd missed a couple of classes before I got sick, but didn't know why. In the picture she posted on her site from back then she looks almost anorexic!! Don't know if it was from being sick or if she was training too hard.

I lasted about 10 minutes at work until I was sent home probably a good thing since I just got in from the doctor's office and I have a viral respritory thing that's going around and apparently highly contagious so looks like I'm out of the office for the remainder of the week. I should be feeling better by the end of the week but he says the cough from it is likely to hang on for another week. And of course it just so happened that by my having an emergency appointment it saved them from calling me about my blood test results. Not real good news in that department. Although my good cholesterol is at a really good number my bad cholesterol is at an all time high so after I'm through with this respitory thing he wants he take Lipitor and see if I can get the numbers down. Not sure what's in my diet that's making those numbers rise like that. Certainly not happy about adding yet another pill to my pile.

Obviously it was a sleep and watch TV day. I've had no appetite and the smell of food was actually making me feel naseous. I'm hoping that with having to be home I'll at least feel a little bit better and maybe get my Christmas cards written out.

Rhonda-continued thoughts and prayers for your Dad. Hope things work out for finding a good facility closer for everyone.

Donna-sorry to hear about the fender bender. At least your run in was with a good person.

My brain is fried and I think DH came in with the cough medicine and looking forward to getting back to warm jammies. If it's the same cough medicine I'll be unconscious shortly after taking it.

That's it from my neck of the woods.

Susan
