to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it. --Edith Wharton

I read that quote today and for some reason it lit me up and made me think of all of you and the board. Got me thinking of all the different ways the quote can be interpreted and what other people are both the candle and the mirror. I believe all of you here do both.

Patty...you had me laughing about the jeans and I was thinking how the only pair that fit me are in the dryer now. I hope I can get into them again. I am still sitting here in my workout clothes because I don't want to face getting dressed in real clothes. I have to get something on for tonight to help with the Santa Breakfast set up but I am really thinking about staying in my workout clothes. I am almost too cold to take them off. WE all get into fitness slumps...don't be so hard on yourself. You are working so hard in CL and that is counting as exercise! I do believe you are the candle and the mirror that reflests the light. You are so inspiring with your quotes and posts everday. Your mom is too much. Costco has some really good cookies...I bought them one year and the grandkids loved them. Saved me a lot of time and effort.

Donna...your weekend sounds divine. What a nice tradition to go see the Nutcracker. My older DS still talks about seeing the NYC Ballet Nutcracker when he was only 5 years old. I still dream of going there again myself. Hope your PATS win Sunday.

LI DEB....what diner is that? The soup and salad dinner sound delish! Good for you for getting the tree done. Ours is still in the attack waiting patiently to come out and play. No fresh cut for us this year...heard they were going to be really bad with shedding the needles. Sigh...Enjoy your hair appointment...so important to take care of you a little during this hectic time.

Susan...just have to love Target. It is one of those stores where you go in for one or two things and end up spending a small fortune on stuff that you didn't know you needed and there it is!! Hope the medicine does it magic today and the cough is on it's way out. Feel better....

Sassy...HI...nice to see you post. Glad all is ok and you haven't been posting because you are do busy. Yes...new leaf come January 2! I am with you with going back to WW...I hear the new program comes out next week! Sorry about your knee...go slow or at least moderately with it.

Deb/Mn...hope the day isn't a long one and good for you for getting to relax a little before going to work. Try to stay warm....can't say it enough...BRRRRRRRRR! Try to track down what is going on with your tummy.

Nancy...don't worry about the house not being decorated yet. Ours isn't either and I have to get my b*tt into the attic soon! Enjoy your day off...posted to you under your post too.

Rhonda...again, I am so sorry about your Dad. I know that prayer well and seeing loved one decline is the worst. Yes even worse than it being "their time".

Be like a postage stamp.  Stick to it until you get there.
