LOL to Debbie's comment ...

I never had a Chatty Cathy - many years ago (when DH and I were dating) MIL used to call me Chatty Cathy - hmmmmm ... she said it was because I looked like the doll.

Been thinking about Christmas past ...

This is a real blast from the past I remember Silly Sand, not sure if we had it though. I have to ask my sisters. Now the Klick-klacks I did have and the originals were made of glass. I believe they were taken off the market and recalled because of the glass shattering. I think they came out with a new version that was hard plastic..........

My older sister and I had troll dolls in 1961. I remember, because it was the year we moved to FL.

My younger sister had a doll called Shrinking Violet. Anyone remember those?

Farther back, my older sister and I had some Bennie Walker dolls by Madame Alexandria. Wish we hadn't played with them and messed them up. They had bright red princess style coats with leopard trim, leopard hat, and leopard muff.

Also, we had Tiny Tears dolls. They had tight little curls that we fluffed out with a comb and made afros out of way before we ever heard of or saw an afro. This was 1950's.
