I have to be honest here I am ready for the sofa............I was up at 8:00, had coffee/tea with my hubby then the day started. We both showered and headed out the door. He headed outside to finish the lights, I went to BJ's for a few items. I came home, we emptied out my car then Katie and I headed to a small local theater to watch a Christmas Carol that my neice was playing a role in. The play was not Broadway! Got home around 4:15 and began dinner preperations. Bill finished the outside, brought up the final boxes out of the basement and assembled the tree in our den. I ironed some clothes for work and some of Katie's jeans, I did yet another batch of laundry (seems that never ends here), and I set the table for dinner. I bought a tenderloin pork roast from BJ's made by Smith that was marinating in garlic and herbs.....very yummy with jasmine rice, broccoli and cauliflower. I need to organize the den since its a bit messy but tomorrow the guy is coming to do the work on the fire place and I do not feel like doing anything since I have no idea what needs to be done, moved, or played with in there. So on that note I am not doing anymore tonight. All the other rooms in the house look nice, organized, Christmasee and clean and so if I stay in here I will be fine. I am so nerotic lately. I think some tea and a book in here will just be fine with my favorite PJ's. I hope to head upstairs and under my blanket around 9:30 since I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be a busy day at the office. Well I hope everyone is doing well and had a great weekend!
I posted most of what my day was like. Tim and I took a brief nap after I got the beef and gravy going for dinner. Got up and finished that, the egg noodles, biscuits, and chopped broccoli. Suddenly, I wasn't hungry. Just don't feel really great. The guys made up for me though.
Got an email that my sister will probably wait till Tuesday, but is still coming down early to be here with Dad. We told her we felt she could wait.
My daughter was kidnapped by a taxi driver and almost raped, but was able to escape, when she was on spring break and got separated from a group of friends late at night. She was traumatized, but fortunate. The next night, a coed from Pitt was raped by a cabbie who picked her up in the same place. I don't think I'll be going to Cancun.
On the other hand, Miami is really fun and in the same country!
Hey Margie...I do believe Costco is a very dangerous place and I am so glad that we have a smaller one by us. It was the first on Long Island and DH has gone to others and they are bigger! They do have some really nice Christmas gifts and if I had kids to buy for, I would have gotten a few toys there too. People sure were loading up! Unfortunately I have to go back there before Christmas Eve to get crab cakes for the family. DH liked the ravioli that were being sampled..but they had shell fish in it. Since I am highly allergic, it is tough having to cook a lot of the seafood for Christmas Eve.
I am doing ok with the new glasses and contacts. The doctor of optometry was really thorough. I see better with these new contacts than I ever did and that is saying something since I am nearsighted and have astigmatism. The glasses are pretty fashionable and I am wearing them now ( I started not feeling good so I took the contacts out ). I do plan to use Costco the next time. I don't know why I just didn't go there in the first place. But, I had that coupon and I thought I would get a good deal at Lens Crafters. A friend of mine goes to Walmart and she is very satisfied with her glasses and contacts. Go figure!
Good luck with the new glasses shopping. Let me know how you make out.
