Monday evening wrap up....

A little early here for this, but how did your day go?
Mine ended up being a bust with not feeling good. I am so glad I made a big pot of chicken soup this weekend. Can't wait to have some.
Hope you all had a good day...

Grace,
I kinda like ending it early.

Hope you feel better Grace!

I absolutely detested those Financial Aid forms. The first year for both girls were the worst and then they came preprinted and you would have to change the incorrect information each year. I did the happy dance at the completion of the last one!

The pile on my desk was pretty much what I expected and didn't even make a dent in the old stuff before having to tackle the new. The day left me feeling completely exhausted and then to come home to start dinner. I've managed to clean up the remnants of dinner and the clean up looked worse than it actually was. I watched DS make an omlette for himself when he got home. We'll just say between the eggs and the bacon my cholesterol went up about 1,000 points! 6'1, about 135 lbs and I really don't know where he puts it!
I had a report from my spy (my boss' wife mother works for the jeweler that I gave the business card to DD's BF). Apparently there was a sighting early last week. He spent quite a bit of time with the jeweler but hasn't been sighted again. So not sure whether he's looking around or just hasn't been back yet. The mysterious plan continues on!
It was starting to rain and damp and nasty outside so I cancelled Otto's walk for the evening. Not sure how he felt about that but he normally doesn't like the rain much and I sure wasn't up for a walk in the rain.
At this point since I'm already down here I think I'll go sort some socks and I should think about finishing up the on line shopping at Amazon that I need to do but I do know that my jammies are going on real soon!
Hope everyone has had a good day.
Susan

Grace, hope you feel better!
Wow, this day went by fast...
I wasn't sure if I'd be able to work out very strong but I did and actually had to change after the treadmill
We got some excellent news today. Rob not only passed his ASVAB test, but scored so high on it that they're making him re-take it to be sure he didn't have a ringer take it for him!! Anytime someone scores over 20 points higher than they did the previous time (even though it's a totally different test) the different branches of the service make them re-take it. At least he won't have to wait 30 days. He'll probably take it again tomorrow or Wed. I am SO PROUD of him and more relieved than I can say. When he said he thought it was harder than the first one, I worried the whole time till we found out. He would like to know the score, but they 00 each number out, and he can't find out until after he takes it again. He's not looking forward to having to sit through it again, but is very pleased about doing so well. It would probably be late Feb. or early March before he would start basic, because the Jan. class will probably already be filled.
The weather was pretty (80 and sunny) and Rob went with me to do a lot of errands, so I feel good about things that were accomplished today. We returned some catalogs and fabric samples to the business where I used to work, then went out to the beach area to pick up some progesterone cream from my dr. there. From there, we headed to Mom and Dad's and put net lights on their boxwood and single strand lighting along their porch and roof. Mom called tonight and said it looked so pretty. It felt good to hear the happiness in her voice. We had to make a run for another extension cord, but got them working. Rob wanted to look at the Army/Navy Surplus Store and I ran in the mall near there to finally get a car charger for my new phone. My battery had gone dead, because I keep forgetting to use the house charger.
We went to a beautiful park on the river for the big pro troops rally that was supposed to start at 3, but started closer to 4:00. Col. Buzz Patterson, who was the carrier of the "nuclear football" when Bill Clinton was president is a co-founder of MoveAmericaForward.org that was sponsoring this. I had read his book, Dereliction of Duty, http://www.amazon.com/Dereliction-Duty-Eyewitness-President-Endangered/dp/0895261405 which was excellent, and bought his new book, War Crimes,
