My concept of total health is being mentally equipped with knowledge (from trusted resources) to make decisions on how to take care of myself.

Total health to me means being healthy physically, mentally, and spiritually and being comfortable within your own skin! It is important to take time for yourself and find things you love to do and do it!

I echo what Patty said and would include that total health also means the ability to forgive ones' self and move on and learning from both our successes and failures

I agree with all that's been said so well. Total health is a comprehensive state that includes physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. A combination of these things can make our "real age" much less than our chronological age.


In an ideal world, we would:


-- eat healthy food most of the time and drink plenty of water, then supplement those with other nutrients that have been proven to prevent diseases and illnesses and to keep us in our prime as long as possible. We would exercise regularly in a manner that gives us pleasure rather than seems like drudgery, so that we our muscles are toned, our aerobic capacity is good, we're flexible, and have good bone density. We would stay
