How is your day and week winding down? Did it turn out to be fabulous or did it kind of fizzle or maybe just somewhere in between?

Hello everyone...Good Evening! Busy day and this is my first chance to get here. I red the posts but I don't think I remember everything. I do remember there was some good news for Rhonda and Nancy with their parents. I am glad both are doing better.
The NY Botanical Gardens train display was awesome. All the building and bridges were made out of twigs, leaves and everything found right there on the grounds. I lost count how many trains were going around it all...but it was more than enough to make all the kids there get very excited. Some of the buildings built with great detail were St Patrick's Cathedral, Yankee Stadium, Coney Island amusements as well as many different mansions and homes found in NYC and suburbs. There were 3 bridges..but I can only remember the Manhatten Bridge and the Brooklyn Bridge. I wish DH got to see it too.
Got the lab results from my blood work and every thing is normal except the cholesterol. No surprises there but I didn't expect it to go up 100 points. Doctor wants me to try Zetia and I am hesitant but I have enough samples for 2 weeks and I should know if I have side effects within that time. We will see...
Nothing else for now. I do have to run and get ready for a Christmas Party. Always the way...either nothing to do or more than one thing in one day.
Have a nice evening all and stay warm.
Grace
Be like a postage stamp. Stick to it until you get there.

OK, I took notes from the morning posts so I can address each of them. I'd never remember them all.
Patty, consider Rick's disappointment about his gift a real compliment! I'm amazed by how fast the month is going by too. Can't believe Rob will be 19 on the 19th. I don't have Christmas M&M's around, but the 2 kinds of Hershey's Kisses have been nagging me non-stop!
Susan, dinner last night sounds wonderful. Hope your weather improves soon. Will Otto go out in weather like that?
D-Deb, how is your kitchen organization project going? I would love to be as organized as you are. You could start a business or teach a class!! I did get my photos in a little better shape the last 2 nights, so that's a start.
Erin, I've decided not to bake for friends and neighbors this year. Everyone gets so much, some people are dieting, and a lot gets thrown away. It's too time consuming and expensive for that. I will bake for Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner. All those tarps

The display today sounds fabulous! I love anything to do with architecture. Did you take pictures?
I'm sorry to hear your cholesterol went up so much. It's surprising with as much as you exercise and you seem to eat pretty well. Hope you don't have any side effects from the medicine and that it does the trick for you.

Good evening my lovely lady friends.

Rhonda, bless your heart! With all you have going on you take notes and post to each of us.That's so sweet.
My day was busy and somewhat productive. I had a gift card from DS

Thanks, Patty! When you have almost no short term memory, notes are essential.
Hope you have a lot of fun baking with your family members. I'm happy to hear you'll get Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off. You've more than earned it.
I'm doing my best to get rid of those Hershey's Kisses. ;-)
I meant to thank you for your call the other day. It was late when I got the message, so I got sidetracked. I've thought several times lately

Busy and tiring day at work and when Paychex hadn't delivered our paychecks by 4PM I was getting a bit worried that we'd be going home without one!
