Good morning! Just a short check-in to say hi before I head to the hospital.

Nancy, I'm glad you're mom is home, but I understand your concern about the mass at her spine. I will continue to keep her in my prayers. Hugs to you.

I'll check back in later.

Good Afternoon all...happy weekend! Hope it is going well.

Nancy...prayers for your MOM and the family and that all will work out. A tumor on the spine sounds scary but it is good to know it is not her heart. Sure does explain the back pain as well as the chest pain.

The Christmas party was small and very nice last night. The food was excellent and well, after 3 months of trying to be "good", I kind of went for it. Why the heck not? I tried to do the right things and my cholesterol still went through the roof so I am going to enjoy the holidays and see what happens after wards. Anyway, the desserts were really extra special and I did indulge in a piece of chocolate mousse cake and it really hit the spot since I have been craving chocolate cake for some time. We were the last couple to leave and we got home after midnight...I am so surprised...DH usually turns into a pumpkin by 10 pm.

Slept like a baby after finally falling asleep after 1 am. Felt off this morning after all the "junk" I ate last night (felt like a hangover but I didn't drink anything but water and decaf tea...I'm so boring), but still got up to take the special holiday classes today. I figured I better eliminate some of that sugar from my body.

Be like a postage stamp.  Stick to it until you get there.

Saturday is coming to an end and this is the first time I've had a chance to sit at the computer and check in with everybody.

Nancy, thoughts and prayers for your Mom.

Baking day has come to an end. The oven mitts put away, the mess in the kitchen cleaned up and lots of cookies in tins. Spritz, chocolate crinkles, peppermint candy cane cookies, oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, chocolate thumbprints, chocolate dipped pecan cookies are sealed away in their tins and DD's chocolate candy in the refrigerator. I will say that I'm exhausted and the hot shower I just took felt oh so good.

Otto was such a good boy with all the food involved today. I will say he came through periodically and managed to find any crumbs hanging around so sweeping the floor was unnecessary. I made sure he got out for a nice walk this afternoon which we both enjoyed.

I've been on my feet almost all day so I'm looking forward to sitting in a nice comfy chair and probably heading to bed early.

Hope you've all had a good day.

Susan
