Well, I had a nice long post typed and lost it when I hit post. How did everyone's day go? Did you accomplish a lot or have a day of rest?

If new underwear makes that wonderful a change, I'm heading to the store for both of my guys!! ;-) How nice that he worked so hard and then did more to help make you feel better. And, how about that Bob? They grow up so fast...

It's been another busy day around here. I got out early in the disgusting weather and went grocery shopping and stopped at AC Moore and got some tins. Unfortunately I could only get small ones but I'm sure they'll do the same job. It was horrible trying to unload the groceries when I got home. Whenever it rains the water comes up over the curb and the water is so wide that you can't even jump from the street to the curb. I ended up walking down the street to get to the sidewalk and brought in the few bags that I had in the front seat. I then had to back my car onto the apron of the driveway and pull out the bags from the trunk then had to climb back over the console to move the car back into the street. What a mess.

I went to have my nails and piggies done and then home for lunch. I read for awhile and then made some bar cookies and coconut macaroons. I think my baking for the season is over. I'm sure we have enough to fill our jars and still have a few left over for the house. DD arrived home in the afternoon. DD's BF also let me in on a little secret about a very special Christmas gift or perhaps a pre Christmas gift for DD. He actually does have a plan although I don't know what the plan is but I do know what the outcome of the plan will be!

I made some marinara sauce with pasta for dinner and DD and I both kept looking at the poor sad bare tree and we decided that we would decorate the tree after dinner. We were originally only going to do the lights but ended up putting all the ornaments on as well. We have so many beautiful ornaments-from ones that the kids made to ones that I bought for the kids as they were growing up to ornaments going back to my childhood. I always feel a bit sad though that DD is the only one that wants to help.

I'm looking forward to having the day tomorrow to put the house in some semblance of order. Never did get to my checkbook or tackle much of the laundry today. But tomorrow is another day.

The wind has really picked up here tonight and has been a pretty miserable day weather wise. Hope Donna made it home safely. I spoke to DD this evening and where she is in western MA they've had about a foot of snow between snowfall Thursday and yesterday and as of this evening they were having freezing rain.

Think I'm about ready to head to bed. Hope you all enjoy a good night's rest.
