A cold day here but the wind has died and not as uncomfortable being outside.
I had a nice day off yesterday although certainly not on task as I had planned. Things that should have been accomplished are still on the "to do" list. I had forgotten that DH had asked me to make lemon squares which are one of his favorites. I unfortunately have misplaced my original recipe and the one that I found just doesn't quite measure up. DD and I sat and watched our yearly viewing of the Christmas Story. I love that movie!
I was awake very early but still had trouble getting myself to the basement for a workout. But I did and glad that I did. I have to get back into good habits. Some time on the treadmill to wake myself up and then weights were on the agenda for the morning. Eating well starts out and then sort of goes downhill in the afternoon.
Back to the office today. Apparently the office will be closed on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve (secretarial staff) providing I can figure out how to change the message on our phone system. I know I've done it before so that will be #1 on my priority list this morning. I had originally planned Christmas Eve as a vacation day so I'm going to have to figure out another day between now and next week or I lose the day. My co worker also has days and I think she already put in for the day after Christmas and the Friday before New Years. Doesn't leave me with too many choices. I wish they had told us this earlier or I could have used the day differently. They love leaving things to the last minute.
Lots of things I need to take care of today and my mind is going a little haywire. At present I have checks to write and not quite sure what I did with my checkbook. Still looking at laundry piles too. I'm not dressed for work either so better get my bu** in gear.
Judy-certainly a big decision for you to make. Positive thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery and recovery.
Deb/MN-a new puppy? That's exciting! Never had to go through the housebreaking thing since Otto was adopted when he was about 1 1/2.
Rhonda and Nancy-continued prayers for your Dad and Mom.
Donna-glad you arrived home safe and sound.
Well I really do need to get a move on. Hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday!
Good morning, Patty.

Happy Birthday to your DD!
I bet you will see more of a drop in your weight next week unless you're converting it to muscle. Inches are what really count. Keep track of those.
