Good Morning,

Gloomy, gray looking start to the day and temperatures that are supposed to go into the 40's.

Work just wore me down yesterday and having a cranky boss didn't help matters much. I'll admit I came home in a bit of a mood yesterday and my efforts to put water into the Christmas tree stand resulted in me pouring 4 qts of water not into the stand but all over the laminate wood floor. The tree has so many bottom branches I never can quite see what I'm doing. Between the mop, towels and paper towels I hope it got all mopped up before the floor warps. What a mess and certainly not what was needed after a long tiring day. Otto and I managed a nice peaceful walk before heading home and down to the basement before ending the day with a wrestle with the checkbook.

I don't know whether it was the mood combined with the day but I had bad palpitations last night and feeling a bit lightheaded this morning. Taking a deep breath in, making a list and checking it twice and trying to calm my frazzled brain.

I did head to the basement this morning for a workout. I decided on one of my DVD's and didn't get quite as much accomplished as I had hoped since I was digging through a closet looking for batteries for the remote for the DVD player. I was glad that I got in at least 30 minutes before having to head to the shower.

Turkey burgers are made up for tonight's dinner. DH will be coming in and out the door this evening and that will make for an easy dinner for all concerned. Hopefully Otto and I will head out for a walk and then I think I need to wrap Dh's gifts while he's out. I'm waiting for an email from Barnes & Noble that a book I ordered for DH has arrived. So far, no news.

Hopefully today will be a better day at work. My boss has several things going on this afternoon and I hope his mood has improved for the morning hours that he'll be in the office.

That's about it from my neck of the woods. Headed to the laundry room and see if I can whip the rest of the laundry piles into order.

Hope you all have a great day!

Susan

Susan, omega 3's and magnesium are good for heart palpitations. I hope you're feeling better by now. I know that's a scary feeling.

Hugs,

Patty, your post reminded me of grabbing pizzas for us last night, because there was no time or energy to cook something healthy. It was very satisfying though. Of course, this morning, the salt content from it has my face looking like a balloon!

It's an eventful day. Rob is 19 on the 19th, there's the nursing home Christmas party, and we're all going to a Japanese restaurant tonight where the chefs perform at your table as they prepare the food. It's Rob's favorite and his choice.

Wish I'd picked all the tangelos I needed to yesterday, because even though it's 50 out, I'm sure there's dew on everything. I'll probably get soaked. I have on a black velvet warm-up suit and a red mock turtleneck shell with some red sequins on the front to look festive for the party. Maybe I can encase my arms in plastic bags for picking.

I slept better last night than I have in a long time and would love to have slept in. I was very tired last night, plus I took 2 Tylenol PM. That combo did the trick this time, but doesn't always.

I used to make wassail from an old Williamsburg or maybe just colonial VA recipe

Hello..

Princess, It struck me that you were thinking of me and my funk. On Monday night I woke up about 4 in the morning and hard a hard time breathing and coughing.

We're back!

1) Our friends made this cruise terrific, fun and memorable--very happy

2) We're done with Mexico :o)

3) Done with travel too (pooped)

4) Between LAX and Seattle last night our luggage must've fallen into Lake Washington--all four suitcases soaking wet...they're roasting by the fire right now in hopes they don't turn into mildew, clothes are everywhere

5) I hear Christmas is right around the corner....

6) I am not sure how but while we were on our cruise someone in Los Angeles tried Christmas shopping with our Visa card.
