How long does it take to kiss that many chickens goodbye, Patty?
"Make Choices that bring you joy" cl-Patty
Good Morning,
I loved Little House on the Prairie as well. In fact my oldest wanted & received the series of books last year for Christmas.
In effort to try to stay on top of things I got an email that Barnes & Nobel had my order so I got out of the house early and decided to head to the grocery store near B&N and that way I could pick up the book and the remaining ingredients for my contribution to the office luncheon tomorrow. Unfortunately my brain told me B&N opened at 8AM and in fact didn't open until 9. Well....the thought was a good one! I'll just go tomorrow evening instead.
Slept right through the alarm this morning so a workout didn't happen. I'm in another cycle where I'm just really beat after work and falling asleep really early and I just don't seem to be able to get myself out of bed. I'm still feeling a little funky so maybe it's just as well.
Continued thoughts and prayers for Rhonda's dad & Nancy's mom.
Thankful for a few more vacation days left for 2007.
Thankful that DD has found a job that she enjoys along with a promotion and some nice year end bonuses.
Thankful for a fun baking weekend with DD.
Thankful for all the little things in my life that I so often take for granted.
Well, better run, my little unexpected jaunt has me running late. Hope you all have a great day! Think I'll take an orange with me today!

I used to watch LHOTP when I was a kid - haven't seen it in years!

Princess, your talk of simpler times reminds me of so much … times were definitely simpler when we were kids.

I think I've lost all marketable skills, the last being my fabulous skills on the computer.
Thank-you for the birthday wishes for Rob and the good wishes for my dad. :-) I wound up not having to cover my arms with plastic bags to pick tangelos, because I finally got Rob out of his coma-like state long enough to pick some for me. I had taken 5 bags over the day before and took 6 more bags yesterday. I always think about how in times past it was a big deal to get an orange in your stocking, which is one reason I really wanted these elderly people to get at least one tangelo a piece, if they're able to eat them. I think there wound up being plenty for the staff too. And, now the tangelos are up high enough on the tree that the neighborhood boys would have to bring a ladder to pick them and smash them in the street or wherever. I'm pretty happy about that too.
Dad has been confused about going home and thinks he should be going home at night instead of staying there, which is upsetting him. He did enjoy the party though, and so did we. Cheryl and I wound up dancing with some of the staff to Old Time Rock and Roll and jitter bugged to another song. Yes, we were quite a spectacle. One of the younger guys there (60's?) asked me to do the bump, but that didn't last long because I think I almost knocked him over!! :-o Dad got a number of nice gifts from the staff and sang along to several songs he knew, including Mom's and his song, "It Had to Be You". Cheryl got some good pictures.
