How is everyone holding up? What have you got left to do for Christmas? Where will you be spending Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?

I didn't post earlier, because I was feeling kind of Scroogish and didn't want to put a damper on things. I was really tired and feeling overwhelmed and had some mildly unpleasant emails with my "nephew". I have now told him not to contact me anymore. I just don't need the grief and am going to follow Joel O'Steen's advice and not hang with negative, upsetting people. Tim's sister strikes again!
Anyway, by this evening I had Rob turn on the outside lights and we plugged in the inside trees, which really are beautiful, then I cranked up a Christmas music station on the TV

Thanks, Patty! Actually, the baking is helping. I'm on the 3rd batch of nuts, at last, and may do some cookies. I guess I associate a lot of cooking with the holidays and now I feel as though I'm starting to make some progress.
I always get antsy when Erin comes. I realize how silly that is, but she is so anal that it makes me nervous about the house. With

Yesterday's luncheon was quite nice. Everyone's mood mellowed and a chance to get away from the formality of the working day. I ate way too much-we all brought things into eat and of course way too many types of cookies and I sampled way too many. The new woman in the office LOVES to bake-hence she made 17 different kinds of cookies. No I didn't try all 17 types but it seemed that way!
I did get to B&N and picked up DH's final Christmas gift. Pretty much the rest of the night was crash and burn in the recliner! I woke up a little after 11 and thought it was after 12. Very confused!
Christmas Eve will be spent here at our house with DH's two sisters. Christmas Day will be spent at DH's niece's house. This is a completely new and different Christmas Day for us. But it's Emma's first Christmas and she also has an 8 year old and a 4 year old and her sister has a 4 year old. It should be a fun day with the little ones!

Rhonda,
I'm so sorry that on top of everything else that you've been dealing with that this had to be added on top.
Looking forward to hearing how Jackson likes his motorcycle!

Funny you mention llamas. Every year my boss buys his wife we'll just say delicately a different animal excrement. She's an avid gardener and that's the standard joke gift. This year it's the gift from the llama. I was joking with him that I wish I had known about the website earlier and then he offered he a bag since they sent him a free one. So guess what DH is getting in his stocking?
