Hello all my fine friends! I was going to be my fine feathered friends, but I don't think we turned into chickens yet that Patty will have to take care of. ;-)
Thank you all for your kind words for DD and me! I know DD got rest but I had to get going and teach my 9:30 step interval class today. Boy, I was beat, but I am trying to get some down time today after running most of the day so far. Got good news that both DS's and their families got home safely to N. C. and I can breathe a huge sigh of relief with that.
It is so true about there being no diet secret...it is just plain old hard work. It is a stretch to think you can learn to love only "good" food, but I have heard that you can be turned off by it after a time of eating only the "good" stuff. I am still waiting for those days when I don't crave the "sugar".
Yes...lifestyle change is in the works...barely. I am doing better since the company left but I am still not in the zone either. I can get the exercise down, but boy, the eating is tough! New year, new me...oh yeah...positive thinking.
I really do have to push the vacuum around and get some of the stuff off the
I'm sorry to hear about the family problems you're having to deal with. It sounds as though your SIL has been the way she is long enough that she's probably not going to change a whole lot, but I do hope your sisters work things out soon.
I got to see Cheryl and Lauren today, but Lauren let the 2 little ones stay at my other sister's house to give them a break after being in the car 15 hours yesterday. Dad was a little cranky this morning, but he started lightening up pretty quickly as we all began arriving. Lauren was first, then I, then Mom and Cheryl, and Lisa got there after our meeting with the staff
I'm having the same problem about being in the zone too. I'm so out of the zone right now that I'm not sure what it's going to take to get me back in. Maybe if I can just make it back to the first Zumba class again...
Tim and I are going to the movies tonight too for the first time in ages. There are about 4 movies I'd like to see, but he really wants to see the new National Treasure movie, which I do too, so that's the one for tonight.
Even though I don't like to, we may wind up skipping church this week too. I can watch Joel O'Steen on TV, so I don't feel totally guilty. With relatives in town and so much to try to do in such a short time it makes it hard to fit everything in.
Let's hope we can all motivate each other to get back in the zone together. :-)
