We both woke up early this morning and I'm nearly done at the computer and needing to get dressed for church..... so.... I thought I'd get this started.

Good Morning,

Gray looking day outside although the warming trend is still with us and heard it's supposed to be near 60 over the next few days. Not that I'm a cold weather fan but there's something about 60 in January that's not quite right.

Karen-how are you feeling today?

Definitely not myself yesterday. I was in a mental funk and just had a really tough time getting myself to do much of anything. My mind was set on cleaning up around here and I just couldn't get myself to do much of anything. DH scared the you know what out of me yesterday. He had been working on DS car and I look out the back door and he's sitting on the ground by the back end of the car and seemed like he was just staring. At first I really thought he had passed out. He got dizzy and naseous and was sitting there until it passed. He had persistent heartburn all day but as usual I can't convince him that perhaps he should call his doctor (the one he likes) to discuss this. Then afterwards I found him having a cup of coffee and a stale cupcake. Not sure how that was supposed to help the heartburn. But his eating habits are another cause for concern. Thanks for the good thoughts about the medication issue. Personally, I don't think the one he's on is the answer and I know the doctor wanted him on a slightly higher dosage which he fougt tooth and nail. I know people who use this one and have helped them immensely but I also know DS was on this one and it didn't work for him. Since he was changed to a different medication he's become a different person-his anger about everything and everyone has greatly improved, his concentration etc. Now if I could just convince him to see a therapist for the underlying issues. Depression and anxiety run in both our families so it's been a constant issue in our family. DD recognized hers long ago and decided against the medication route since she has severe side effects but did go the therapy route and has helped her tremendously. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens. It's just hard to see the change in DH and his attitude about it.

Pretty much the same thing around here today. Grocery shopping which I need to get myself out of here in a few minutes. I also have to figure out a new coffee pot that DS went out and bought last night. We both commented that the coffee hasn't been tasting too good so he decided that I needed the grind and brew Cuisinart. I was doing find until they were talking about soaking something for 15 minutes and then pulling something out of the pot which I had no idea of what I was supposed to pulling out. So I decided to use the old pot and let someone else read the directions!

I have some bills to pay and the mess around my desk that I should have tackled yesterday is still waiting for me. It's also that time of the year where I need to start gathering stuff for my least favorite time of the year-IRS time.

Well, better get a move on for my Sunday AM grocery time. Hope everyone has a splendid Sunday!

Morning beautiful ladies...

I plan on digging through the wash and getting that done, eating lightly, housework, magazine reading by the fire, and learning a beautiful salsa routine to add to my repertoire.

Lunch is the end of the pot of soup, dinner tonight is pasta.

Late good morning, everyone! Not much planned since the cold I was fighting won and I am in full blown sick mode. I haven't had "a cold" like this years so I guess I was due. I couldn't sleep last night...fell asleep finally about 3 am and woke up at 6:30 am and that was the end of sleeping. The worst part is that DH has it too and well, you would think he was dying. He keeps taking stuff to feel better without really reading the labels and just doesn't get that it has to run it's course. He snored all night and told me he didn't sleep well...Hmmmm. Thank you darling granddaughter for sharing your germs...LOL!

No undecorating or cooking or much of anything else today. I am going to rest and drink plenty of fluids and hope for the best. No exercise...day off. I would like to curl up on the couch with a throw on and do some crocheting and watch bad lifetime movies or the food network.

Karen...I hope you are feeling better from your fall! It is tough on us over 4o gals when we fall. WE don't bounce like kids do anymore.

Nancy...I heard about the petites should have knee length skirts too. I think you could go mid calf if you are wearing the same color knee high boots. Good idea about sending pictures to DD.

Patty...looks like we are going to have the same kind of day...recharge and relax. Enjoy!

Susan...I am not sure if you said DH stopped taking his meds or not, but if he did, that could cause how he felt yesterday. When my kids went off the meds, they had a very hard time with nausea, dizzyness, and spaciness for about 2 weeks. I sure can understant what you are going through with a history of anxiety and depression in the family. I hope you have a better day today too. I think the funk is a leftover from the holidays since I have it too. I think this cold breaking finally broke my funk. LOL about the new coffee pot...good luck with it.

Rhonda...sorry about Erin losing her job especially after getting a promotion and thinking she was secure. Do you still have to go help out if she is home? Maybe you can get some you time since things changed there. It sounds like you really need some time with all that is going on with your Dad and all the visitors.

Try to enjoy the rest of the day/weekend all. Don't work too hard if you have to go to work or do the non paying work at home.

Good afternoon ladies, just waiting on my turn to get a shower. Watched a special on CMT last night about Dale Ernhart, very good show, climbed the steps around 11:15 and the phone woke me at 8:30. It was Aunt Linda and we were supposed to meet at the gym at 9:00 but she has something come up with the grandkids and we will do it tomorrow instead. So this morning I got to turn over and fall back asleep, felt great too! Had some quiet tea/coffee with Bill then me made a round of Eggo waffles for the everyone (except me). I managed to get a batch of laundry done and the downstairs bathroom. I also emptied the dishwasher and reloaded it. After my shower Katie and I will head to Aunt Linda's for she is going to foil Katie's hair and mend a dress I bought at Chico's on Friday night. Can't find a picture of it but it is made from the Travelers material, I need to have Aunt Linda tuck the shoulders for me and put a few darts into the waist. I want to wear it at Katie's horse award dinner, in 3 weeks. I also bought the cutest jacket, I will post that picture. I wanted to start taking down the Christmas stuff but I have so much to take down I can not do it all in one day. Rather I might work on some small stuff when we get back or just wait until next weekend. I already told the family that no cooking for me tonight, last dinner out before starting my program correctly tomorrow. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Ok - checking in late here - that seems to be the story of my life this week.

I got up and threw together my breakfast egg casserole for the week, so I can get through the mornings without hitting the cookies/candy/etc. (it is kind of like a quiche with no crust, little milk instead of lots of cream, ham, cheese, onions and spinach to fill it out.) Did this while fixing my morning cuppa and toast w/peanut butter.

Breakfasted with the Sunday paper, while a load of laundry was working.

Showered, then put together chicken and veg with stock for chicken and noodles for dinner, while load two was churning in the washer.

Finished getting myself together and ran by Publix to get some tulips for my desk at the office.
