I think Patty summed it up in a nut shell, he has to want to do it. But simple walks together or a bike ride is a start. Not that I agree with Atkins but many a person has lost weight with the plan. I think since many "guys" are into their meat and potatos you might consider checking out more closely. Good luck and do not give up on him, he has to understand you love him and want and need him around for a long time to come, especially your children.
