I know this is a day late and a dollar short but I figure I can vent on how my Tuesday afternoon went! I never did make it to WW and here is why. I was getting ready to leave the office at 2:45 so I could meet Katie at the bus stop..........phone call from Katie "Can I go to my friend Sasha's house?" I had to make a split second choice since they needed to load the bus...............my answer "yes but call me once you get there, keep your phone on and what is her address?" I tell Bill where this girl lives (mind you Katie has never mentioned her name before to us and I have no idea who she is) and well it is like in a really bad area. Not that our town has a bad area but this street has a row of about 10 duplex houses along the RR tracks and well the grouping is really dirty, run down, trashy ( I know someone is going to blast me for this). I tell Bill to give it a rest because he needs to give the girl, her family the benifit of the doubt, right? Anyhow I call Katie back at 3:30 to let her know I would pick her up at 4:15 to run with my mom to pick up my Explorer. It was about a 20 minute ride away having the remote start & Sirus radio installed and it was ready. I thought an hour at this new girls home was enough on a school day since I know Katie has homework and I had to head out for an hour. Anyhow....if you are still following me.........I call her at 4:15 and she does not answer. I find #67 and man it that place scary, make shift curtins, miniblinds all broken, front door hanging off it's hinges, what did I do? I knock on the door and this mans voice yells from the other side "What do you want?" I told him I was looking for my daughter and her friend. He has no idea of what I am talking about and said I have the wrong house. Mind you I keep calling her and getting her voice mail and there are like 4 unmarked cop cars driving up and down this block. Can

I'm just thankful Katie was ok, I would've been freaking out and crying Deb.

Nancy she is a good girl. So many of her friends are allowed to walk up and down on Main Street, hang out in front of Friendly's or StarBucks and we do not allow it at all. I will drive her someplace and pick her up but no "hanging out".

Debbie, it is tough dealing with freedoms for these 14 year old girls (almost 14 yr old girl in my case).
