Good Morning,

Ah...two great minds that work alike!

The week of wacky wild January weather continues here. We had downpours, thunder and temperatures that are in the 50's. So very strange.

TGIF-Friday is here and not a moment too soon. My wallet is very thankful that it's a payday. Bosses are acting wierd again coming up with all kinds of new rules and regulations. I don't see anyone abusing any part of the system...our abuser is gone and not sure where this is all coming from. I sometimes get the impression that they don't think that we're working hard enough and maybe it's supposed to be directed at the associates and not the clerical staff but then again they are XY's and we haven't figured out how their minds work.

No plans for the evening and hoping to get my house back in order tomorrow although it certainly never lasts very long. If I could just figure out how to keep my dining room table as a place to eat and not a dumping ground...just another unsolvable mystery.

Friday is a day off from exercise for me so now just have to remember to keep my eating under control. Of course, pictures of cakes and such somehow does divert my attention :)!

That's about it from my small corner of the world. Hope everyone is well and ready to enjoy a fabulous Friday!

Well it is Friday and there is a FUNK in the air........but I am thinking this wet weather is playing a role in that. Not looking for snow either, Miss P, sorry. Just a big sun and warm rays would do me fine with temps hanging in the low 40's upper 30's, that is my idea of mid-winter. Yeah, right then I woke up. Well I am off today and I really should be excited about it but I just want to climb back under my blanket and watch some TV and sip another cup of tea. But I can't just too much to do and I already know I am not going to get "everything done". But I guess I should make that second cup of tea, and make a list and just check the stuff off as I get them done. Sounds like a plan, doesn't it? I have already washed the kitchen floor twice, and I have completed two batches a laundry, #3 is in the dryer and #4 is in the washer. I guess a shower would be next and then wax the kitchen floor. I need to really work on this Christmas stuff, I have bins, and piles in everyroom and I still have to take apart both trees. That should be my main focus today but I know I need to hit the bank and cash my paycheck from last week, deposit money into another account, pay bills and balance check books and most important I am a week over due for my nails and I have a broken one. I know what I am going to do............how does this sound?

  • Make some tea and have some oatmeal and write out a list to do for the weekend (No one said it all has to get done by me in one day, right?)

  • Throw some wax onto the kitchen floor

  • Take a hot shower, get dressed

  • Make my bed upstairs

  • Stop at the nail place and get an early afternoon appointment

  • Run the both banks to cash my check then make a deposit

  • Come home for lunch, pack a bin or two

  • Go back to the nail place and enjoy an hour of me time

  • Head back home and work on some de-Christmasing

  • Pick up Missy Katie at 3:00 from the bus stop

  • Drive her to her riding lessone at 3:45

  • Come home again.................maybe stop at Starbucks for a Chia Tea Latte

  • Meet Aunt Linda and her daughter at the gym around 6:00 for a walk and some weight lifting

  • Maybe Bill can take us out to dinner for a salad and soup

This sounds great doesn't it...................it is a shame I will mess it up, lol. The bills can wait until tomorrow morning when I can organize, pay stuff online and just file stuff away.............So what is everyone else up too? Did I mention my sons left early yesterday morning on a road trip to Florida? They actually should be in Jacksonville by Rhonda this morning.

Nancy,

I don't remember the 30's and we didn't get 40's - reason I don't remember is I was nursing my cold inside the whole darn couple of days we actually got up into the 30's!!

It's been gray, cold and rainy for 72 days in a row.

Well Karen since I am home and obviously not accomplishing much on my "to do list" I will give you my 2 cents worth. All the years you did live together was your relationship good? How was her relationship with your mom and her dad during those years? Where was her mother? Does your mom still see or hear from her? Have you discussed the idea of reaching out with your mom? Would she be upset, like you did something behind her back? I would not want to upset my mom, if I thought my making contact would hurt our relationship.
