Good morning Miss P and ladies.........just a quick post because I went on a bit of a tangent on my shovel post. Bill and Katie are still sleeping. Not sure what time Mr came to bed since I was under my covers with lights out at 10:30. I am heading the gym this morning to meet Aunt Linda,

Good Morning,

What a beautiful picture and great thoughts to go along with it.

It's a beautiful sunny day here after yesterday's rain. Temperatures are still quite warm although DH said that they're looking for snow tomorrow.

Up early and down to the basement for a workout this morning. I really could have used an outside walk to clear out the cobwebs in my brain but frankly that would have involved me actually getting in dressed in something other than shorts and a tank top and wasn't feeling quite that ambitious. I had a great walk/run on the treadmill although I shortened the time , picked up the speed and then picked up the weights.

Housecleaning is on the agenda for today. I need to get this tree out of here and start the cleaning process. Stuff here there and everywhere and it needs to be straightened out. I hope to really get the living room, dining room and kitchen deep cleaned. I usually don't have the time or desire to do a really thorough cleaning but I think today is the day. I'm hoping DH does what he said he was going to do and clean out the storage space and clean the bathroom-I'm not holding my breath over the later. He tells me every week that he'll take care of it and somehow it doesn't quite get on his agenda.

I'd better get going or once the again the day will get away from me. Hope everyone has a super Saturday!

Good Saturday Morning all! What a nice post and it immediately brought something to mind that I always think of. If you make

Be like a postage stamp.  Stick to it until you get there.

Grace your quote was perfect and man it really hits home. I always felt that way when Bill would walk in the door and say "What did you do today?" I always found I felt guilty for the things I had not done.......so wrong in so many ways. He never said what about this or what about that.......it was my own head. I do it with the kids and myself all the time, I need to stop!

I used to sit for hours in a cold van while the boys did their outside roller hockey in the winter, we took turns driving them to practices but I was there for 98% of the games. When Katie was a baby we went to 98% of the boys Jr. Drag Races, then when she drove I was always there. I had to step away from cheering on the boys when Katie was riding and her shows were on Sundays. Mind you I think she would have continued to race if she could have but both the racing and the horse shows are on Sundays. She had to figure out what she wanted most and the horses are her true love. Someone has to be there to drive, support and encourage.........so in two different directions we went. I made it to 4 races this year for Robbie and 2 for our friend John. Next year Billy will be racing and I know I will be going to cheer him too. Inbetween is Katie's time with our twice weekly visits out to the east end of Long Island to ride Daniel, then her lesson at our local barn once a week. Throw in a show on a Sunday once a month...........................well no reason like I said before that he can not drive out once a week and watch her ride. She amazes me on how much she does with Daniel and their relationship. She does everything for him and does not really need me there other then the quality time we spend.

But the question remains why are our husbands this way? I will note that if we posted this question to a board of married woman in the age bracket of 25 to 35 I bet the answers would be completely different. I think this next generation is so totally different with how they raise their kids. I think dads today are more hands on because so many have wives that work out of the house..............everything from dropping off at the sitter, picking up groceries, changing a diaper,
