Well the big storm fizzeled out here on Long Island. We got nothing but rain, rain and more rain. I understand we have lots of flooding too. I miss our local TV station with the local weather. I did catch bits of it though while walking around the track. I will say that DH (yes I added the "D") was a huge help yesterday. I would still be working on the holiday stuff had he not stayed home this weekend and helped. Everything is boxed and put downstairs. MY living room, dinning room, kitchen and bathrooms are all back together, with polish and shine. The den needs to have it's pictures and nicknacks put up and the vacuum run through, Bill did Pledge the bay window and the fireplace mantel. So that will be tonights job after work. We stayed home with a huge pot of homemade chicken soup and some toasted fresh rye from the bakery. We watched ABC (Home makeovers) and fell asleep around 10:00. My boys never called and had us worried, we had hoped they were going to stay in Jacksonville last night for fear of running into the storm but as of 11:30 they were in Savana, GA and hoping to push into South Carolina to find a place to rest their heads. I hope they did that and got a few good hours of sleep under their belts and will be home later tonight. Missy Katie is sick and feeling

Good Morning,

Yes, mostly rain here on LI although there was a light dusting on the cars and grass but mostly just big slushy puddles.

Up bright and early and down to the basement this morning. The groove always starts out good and fresh on Monday morning but have to work extra hard to keep that groove on the right path as the workday week wears on.

I made a big pot of chicken vegetable soup for tonight's dinner. I improvised on this recipe that I've never made before. Usually I make according to the recipe the first time around so it truly will be an experiment.

My bills were all paid yesterday but unfortunately never got to the paper trail that comes with the paying. DH still hasn't unclogged the shredders and I guess I'll have to remind him again.

Nothing much else on the agenda around here. LI-Deb-hope Katie feels better. There just seem to have so many nasty bugs going around. Those of you getting the nasty weather hope you have safe commutes if you have to get to work. Hope those that haven't been feeling well are feeling better. And if anyone still needs a shovel-mine is at the ready!

Better get moving and get myself ready for work. Hope everyone has a good start to the week ahead.

When we were out with friends Saturday night a myriad of topics came up during our three hour dinner.

Princess – the scale situation here is much the same – I just continue on with my attempts at staying healthy and not overeating.

Yup, snow here today. But, it's above freezing so the roads are more wet than anything.

After not working out due to illness, I'm slowly working my way back into it.
