Good morning ladies. No morning walk here since I got up at 4:30 to wake Robbie then 2 more pokes before he got out of bed. His boss called and asked if he would consider helping him move some equiptment in NYC instead of working at the detail shop, Rob said fine then found out it required him to be at the shop at 5:00. My Rob is not a morning person, lol. But he got up and headed out. I fell back asleep until 6:45 but woke with a splitting head ache and a very sore throat. OH no! Katie went back to school today, still coughing a bit but she is much better. No temp or sore throat. I have my crock pot going with a pot roast, I did my normal of carrots, onions and potatoes but I did step out of the box and used red skined potatoes and instead of just water w/onion soup mix I threw in a cup of red wine...........let you know how it goes tonight. If you see the words takeout then you can figure it out, lol. I am eatting steel cut oats but I made a horrible batch. I used less milk/water and more oats and it is very dry and the oats are too chewy. I ate it but the rest will go in the trash. It is a very dreary day here and the word is the temps are going to drop into the teens. Just love those teens..........not! I better get moving my turn in the shower then upstairs to make my bed, get dressed, dry the hair and put on some makeup. I need to pack my lunch too since I am trying really hard to stay within my points. I am also going to grab my sweat pants and sneakers and head over to the gym after work. Already told Katie that is what I am doing so I will get that walk in today! Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Thankfuls:

Good Morning,

I'll take a chicken ready to stick in the oven but don't think I'll take you up on live ones and another DH oh no no no!

It is a dreary day here. We're supposed to have that mixed bag of snow/sleet/freezing rain and then going all over to rain at some point and yes by the weekend spring in January is ending and back to winter.

For whatever reason I'm dragging this morning. I couldn't stay awake no matter what I did last night and don't think I saw more than 5 minutes of anything I was trying to watch on TV and it would have been a struggle to try to read. The little voices in my head were having a huge debate as to whether I should get up and exercise. The one voice saying you're awake not get yourself up and the other one telling me that it was warm and comfy and not feeling in the mood. The first one won out but more to the fact that I had to get up to go to the bathroom anyway. Not the anticipated workout I had in my head but managed to get in 30 minutes.

Turkey sloppy joes for dinner this evening. DH has a union meeting tonight and if the weather is nasty I doubt whether he'll even stop for dinner. I can't get dinner on the table fast enough on these nights but nothing I can do about that. Doesn't look like a night for dog walking either. Maybe I'll be inspired to get some of this paper put away.

I have no idea what the workday will hold. Everyone is in the office today which could mean a very busy day. You just never know in that place.

Patty-thinking good thoughts and prayers for your sister for a good doctor's report. Nancy hope you're feeling better this morning. I hope your DD will be able to resolve her job situation. Li-Deb-hope you're feeling better. I can't believe how many different nasty bugs are going around. Lori-hope the blahs will soon be gone.

Thankfuls-a little extra light at the end of the working day. Gives me thoughts of spring. A good doctor's visit. Crockpots and time saving appliances. All of you lovely ladies here. Mail that gives me such a good laugh!

Well, time to get ready for the paying day ahead. I haven't had much inspiration for non paying jobs-just the way it goes some days.

Hope everyone has a terrific Thursday.

Good morning from North Carolina, everyone! The flights were great and I am glad I opted for the early flight. The only bad thing was that the lines to check in and security were very long. It was backed up by the people going to Fl on flights going out an hour later than mine! Who would have thought people having 7:30 and later flights would be a local airport before 5:30 am. Sheesh! Anyway, I had to jump the lines since it was after 6 am and I wasn't anywhere near the beginning of the check in line and then the security check line was even worse. Thank goodness the TSA was accomadating and let me go ahead. I got to the gate as they were calling my section to board the plane. Whew!

Everyone is good here in older DS's house. Still waiting to hear from other DS...don't know what is going on, but no returned calls yesterday or today. I hope everything is ok there. I slept really well on the aerobed last night. Even better than my own bed/house. Talk about not having good sleep...it has been going on for years and I do believe it is something almost all of us go through as we get older. I don't have any caffeine except for the occasional piece of chocolate and I take magnesium. I learned to live with it.

Weather is nasty here but no snow...it is worse west of here. Go figure, I had to come to NC to get some colder weather than NY. The girls gymnastics meet is Sunday and they are both on the same day so I am glad about that.

I have been seeing on the news the cold/snowy weather going on. I do hope you are all getting through it ok. Keep those home fires burning!

Oh, I am finally feeling almost myself. The last lingering cough is still with me, but at least it is just about gone. Hope anyone else who has this bug is doing much better.

That's it for now...enjoy your day and have a good workout! Congrats to those who already accomplished it. I am hoping to do something from FitTV today since I don't get that channel at home.

Patty, was your print color chocolate? Even if I'm right, no more pets or husbands here, thanks. :-)

Running late to nursing home, so this will be short.

Thankfuls:

That Dad and Mom are doing as well as possible

That I got back to Zumba

That Rob did well at MEPS

That Rob and I worked out yesterday

That Rob's best friend made it home safely from CA

For family, home, health, and friends.

More later. Need to finish getting ready and get on the go.

Good morning... It's been a busy one around here... Got my hair dyed, applied sunless tanner, looked for something for dinner, played with the dogs and got the laundry gathered and the beds made... Taking a break before the dh comes home for lunch.
