I made myself get up and go to Zumba this morning. The class was very fast paced; more so than usual even. I had a banana before I went, but I'm wondering if that was enough. Also, I drank plain water instead of Gatorade. About halfway through the class, things started looking dark and not just for a second. It lasted a number of seconds and scared me. I took a short break to the restroom and then was fine the rest of the class. Guess I need to pace myself better. It still was a fun class and we have a number of new songs with very good beats. I really like Salsa and Reggaeton, although all styles are fun.
This dark, gloomy weather has me unplugged again. I've gotten almost nothing done today. I've hardly seen Rob since his best friend came back. Tim came home early today and is napping. So glad I already have a pot of chili made. I could use some!
Erin called a while ago. She had 2 interviews today that went really well. The first guy wanted to hire her on the spot (It was her 2nd interview with him.), but the 2nd job is a real plum. She has a meeting with the VP next Tuesday. It is an international construction firm with beautiful offices located downtown, which is a close drive for her. I pray one or the other works out to be exactly what she wants.
Tim and I are going to their house tomorrow for that software installation. Hope it works. Gas is so expensive for such a short visit, but it needs to be done, and I can play with Jackson while he's doing the technical stuff. :-) Mitt Romney will be in town tomorrow evening at UNF. I'd like to hear him speak, because I haven't before, but we may get back too late and be too tired after over 4 hours in the car total. Rudy will be back Monday. I'm sure we'll be seeing the candidates a lot with our primary coming up the 29th. I've been asked to work at the Rudy one, but I'll have to think about it.
Thanks, Karen! Boy, gas is a lot less where you are than here. I feel lucky if I can get it for $3.04.9, but I did see one rare place that was $3.00.9. My SUV takes a good bit and even though Tim's E320 gets better gas mileage, it
We're at anywhere between $3.23 and $3.30 per gallon here. And now I'm ready for hot chocolate and Redi-Whip!
Work actually went pretty quickly today. We had a very nice lunch and I ate way too much and did enjoy the birthday cake and Friday night brings pizza into the house so wasn't much of a good eating day here.
I was so happy to have the day end and come home and put on stretchy pants. My work clothes were strangling me! I've been enjoying watching some TV and did a little reading before DH got home from work.
Nice surprise today finding out that they've given us Monday off. The attorneys will be working a half day but the clerical staff has a bonus day off! Not sure what sparked that but I'll take it.
Rhonda-hope the job offers work out for Erin. Enjoy the trip to Orland and time with the special little guy!
Good for you for being so cool, calm, and collected about your jeans, working out, and all that. I'm trying to be calm and just do it. I'm not happy with my weight or level of fitness right now.
I can't believe your sister's DH won't be there for her when she has to go through a traumatic time. I think I can read your mind about what you'd like to have said. I will keep her in my prayers that all goes well with successful surgery and a speedy and complete recovery.

So, Karen and Rhonda-no kids around?
Susan
No kids around, but no energy either. I think the sun will have to come back out before I'm able to call in that rain check.
Enjoy the unexpected holiday Monday, Susan.
Gas really is high up there

Woo hoo, a month off work! That's a nice break. Who takes care of Annie when you're gone?
You probably have more tan than I do even though I'm in FL. I tried the spray-on tan booth once
