How's everyone doing this evening? How did you spend your day off (if you didn't have to work)? Anything happening tonight?

It was a gorgeous day here -- mid-60's, low humidity, slight breeze, and not a cloud in the sky. It absolutely killed me to have to sit inside all day and not be out in it, but I know it's more important to spend time with Dad, so I consoled myself with that. I was pretty tired from watching movies so late/early, but managed to stay till 5, then went by the Romney headquarters to get a couple of bumper stickers and yard signs before I came home. Got those put on the Explorer and at each end of the yard. Neighbors who know me have probably wondered what has taken me so long this time. ;-)
I did give Rob's Argentine Tegu a white rat that was frozen at lunchtime. It's so gross! I text messaged

A productive day around here. The kitchen and pantry are restocked. My nails look pretty again and enjoyed that. I came home and made myself some lunch and sat and did some reading. I can only sit so long and then the little voices start telling me that I have things that I should be doing. It's very hard for me to just sit and not feel guilty for not doing something productive. Something I really should get over!
But I did get my bills paid, laundry done until the next avalanche and even managed to drag out my sewing machine to fix the dust ruffle from my bed. Otto and I got out for a nice walk. The sun was nice but I have to say that I was cold when I got back to the house and it felt good to come back inside.
DD and BF arrived for dinner and I had made the stuffed shells, salad and some garlic bread. The pudding cake in the crockpot was so good! It was still warm and with some whipped cream on the top-absolutely delicious.
My kitchen is all cleaned up, coffee pot ready to grind those beans for the morning brew and I'm contemplating putting some oatmeal in the crockpot for breakfast before retiring for the evening. Monday morning comes so quickly!

Ewwww.....lizards, frozen mice...don't think I could have done that!
Chicken & dumplings sound so good. I haven't made that in ages!

I take it the BIL and SIL are being rather unconcerned and/or not very helpful about your FIL? They really are quite the pair.

Susan, that chocolate pudding cake from the crockpot sounds delicious.
