I've been having trouble posting again off-and-on for a few days, so I couldn't post this morning and it took a while again tonight.
Susan, I forget which post of yours it was where you told about Sunshine's email, but I'd tried to reply and wasn't able to. I think it would have been so funny to respond something like, "Gee, suddenly it's been the same around here lately too!" Think the message would go right over her head?
I had a dr. appt. this AM and got the time mixed up. I had 10:45 written on the calendar and thought I was going to be early. At 10:19 while I was on the interstate, I got a call from his office asking if I was on my way. My appt. was at 10!! I told her I'd be there in 10 minutes. I was doing 85 part of the way to make it there! I may have mentioned that I sometimes have a heavy foot. Probably from all the interstate driving I do to Orlando now and what I used to do when I was an interior designer for companies around the state.
After my appt., I decided to stop by a Best Buy and check out some CD's. I was really in the mood for some upbeat dance music. Rob's girl friend had given me a gift card for Christmas, so it seemed to be a good time to use it. I looked at tons of CD's and finally settled on a sort of greatest hits from a late 70's/early 80's group called the Brothers Johnson. They had songs like "Stomp", "Strawberry Letter", and "Dance". You may not recognize the names, but you'd probably recognize the songs. I was just boppin' down the road when I left.
I stopped by Panera to pick up a Fandango Salad (It's back!) for me and some cream of chicken and wild rice soup for Dad. It was mid-60's, but it was overcast again and damp. He was eating lunch when I came in and was not happy with his veal parmesan, so he ate all of his soup. I think he enjoyed it a lot. We took a Pedigree marrow bone to Ace the Wonder Dog at the PT office and spoiled him some. He "cried" when we left (the dog, not the guy ;-). We went outside and fed bread to the ducks who had to fight a huge flock of seagulls (good name for an 80's group), then we got some ice cream at their ice cream shop, and came back to watch Bonanza and Fox News. I left at 5:00.
Great opportunity for him today. Two people came in to tell us a private room had opened up in his wing, which is very rare. The guy moved to another facility today. Unfortunately, I later found out it's to a hospice. I called Mom to let her know, because Dad's been on a waiting list. Now, he's dragging his feet about it, but for many reasons, he really needs to go for it. He and we will be so much more comfortable and happier, plus it's closer to the nurses' station. Mom is going to talk to them about it tomorrow.
J/Z-Deb, I signed up for the Zumba master class that's tomorrow night. I'm happy they're limiting it to 50 people. Erin called tonight and we talked a long time. I asked if I could spend the night at her house after the class with Beto in Winter Park, and she said sure. I would LOVE it if she'd go with me even if it would be just to observe. She loves to dance too, and I think she might want to start going to classes closer to her.
Oh, big fiasco with my sleeping pill last night. Took it at 9:40 and was still wide awake at 11:40, so I got on the computer. Came in here and messed around until 2:40 AM and decided to try to go to sleep even though I didn't feel tired. I stared at the ceiling and last looked at the clock a little after 4 AM!! It was almost as though the pill had had the opposite effect. Once I finally got to sleep I did pretty well, but it was way too late to get started. Hope I have better luck tonight. Should have already taken it but was busy fixing a boneless pork tenderloin, baked potatoes, and green beans for tonight's dinner. Rob's friend had dinner with us for a change lately. I also was talking to Erin and making spaghetti sauce for tomorrow night after Zumba, so all I have to do is cook the pasta and heat a veggie and the sauce and dinner won't take long at all.
I am so excited about getting my roots and highlights done tomorrow that I can hardly stand it. She's going to croak when she sees my hair.
Rest well everyone and stay warm. I heard there's an awful cold front that's come down from Canada with hurricane force winds in the midwest and heading east.

Your episode during the night sounded scary. I hope you're feeling OK since then. I think I'd have been concerned about teaching today.
You're lucky to be so "Gumbyish". I wish I were more flexible and didn't have such tight hamstrings.
Hugs,

Love the response to the email! But I can truly see that flying over her head as most things did! She truly is a one of a kind (I hope!)
