Busy, busy day! Sunny and 80 out, so I've decided the floors can wait till evening, so I can edge and use the blower outside. Rob is finishing up mowing and put the vent up to keep our wayward kitty from going on the roof at will. He also replaced a light bulb in the front porch fixture. Progress!

I made myself get up this morning to take Christine's Zumba class. I am SO NOT a morning person. It definitely helped get me going though. I had to dash out before the cool down, so I could get a shower, wash my hair, and get ready for the appt. with the condo agent. Realized when I got home that one of the super mini magnets I had on my back was gone! Panic!! I use those things constantly. I called the Y and fortunately someone had found it and turned it in. They're about $60 each, so that's a relief. I've gotten many times that amount of value from it. I'll pick it up when I go tomorrow.

The condos are fabulous! The place is so well done and so well thought out with lots of amenities. It would be like living in a resort! Now, if we can work a miracle and get Mom to do more than talk about moving. If she doesn't go through with this, I'm finished trying. I'm also going to tell her I don't want to hear her complain about her living conditions anymore either. She won't get this kind of pricing and incentives out this way anywhere else. They have only 4 models left -- 3 of 1 kind and 1 of another. I had made an appt. for Wed. AM for us to go together, but found out Mom has a dr. appt. she didn't put on her calendar. I was so excited about it that I made an unscheduled trip to the nursing home to show Mom and Dad the DVD about it that she gave me. I have another set of info with DVD to mail to Cheryl and Lauren. It's going to take team work for sure. Mom and Dad have tons of money in the bank due to his VA settlement, but she has become more miserly than ever. She spent much more freely prior to the award and extra

I was highly suspicious of RM when I found out the Patriots had signed him, with all the baggage that came with him both in his personal life and with his supposed tendency to quit on the field.

What kind of gardening seminar was it? When my daughter was a toddler I used to do silk and drived floral arrangements, wreaths, corsages, etc., at home for a good friend's shop. I

I used to not care for the Mannings because of all the hype and then I realized it was the media's fault,

They've looked at Flower Fields which is their number 1 favorite which I think is in St.James. The Crescent in Bayville, Westbury Manor and the Glen Cove Mansion, The Woodlands and I think they've stopped looking at this point and are trying to haggle a bit with the prices so they can make a decision and set a date.

That would infuriate me about the dryer. Did it arrive?

Hi, Susan...the dryer finally arrived around 4:30 as planned by DH. The store manager gave him a $25 gift card for the inconvenience. It was worth letting the store know what happened. There was a mess up with the sales associate and how he put it in the computer.

I have worked at both the Crescent Beach Club and Flowerfields (yes in St James and not far from me). Both have really good food and service. Flowerfields catering is done by Lovin Ovens who I worked for at all their locations. Flowerfields is the high end location. Both DDs had their receptions at locations run by Lovin Ovens and I can vouch how good they are. They also have Land's End, the mansion at Dowling College and a place in Patchogue where DD had her wedding and I can't for the life of me remember the name of it. Duh!! It used to be the old Felices. What is nice...it is one bride at a time at Crescent and Flowerfields.

It is very confusing and luckily both DDs left it up to me to book the caterer. It was easy because I knew I wanted Lovin Ovens to do their receptions and I knew what I would get there and what the "back" looked like.

I can't even imagine what a NY wedding is up to in cost!!

Susan the Mansion at Dowling is the next town from me and right on the water, Great South Bay. When my sister got married 3 years ago she had her wedding reception at the West Sayville Country Club http://www.lessings.com/UNI_home.asp?ui=WES&ven=w
