"Neon Love" Photographic PrintSome people used to believe that if a woman saw a robin flying overhead on Valentine's Day, it meant she would marry a sailor. If she saw a sparrow, she would marry a poor man and be very happy. If she saw a goldfinch, she would marry a millionaire.

Good morning everyone....wonder what it meant if a woman saw a chicken ;)

Happy Valentines Day everyone. Did you

Good morning ladies and Happy Valentines Day! Patty glad to hear your sister is home resting, sorry it is taking so long for her to get the answers she needs and wants. What did they do? My mom has to go in for a lumpectomy in the next week or two because she has a mass they need to remove.

Well we have a chilly Valentines Day here, wind is whipping around but I believe our temps should go to around 40's so I should not complain. Especially since reading some of you are in the negative numbers. Talk about another snow storm heading our way again on Sunday and into Monday. Thank goodness I am off from work that day.......bonus!

Went to the gym this morning and walked, I really could go around a few more laps but I can see Aunt Linda doesn't. I think tomorrow I will ask her if she does not mind me doing any extra 2 or 3 while she sits and stretches. Work is a 9 to 3 day then I need to run and buy a card for Bill. We do not exchange gifts....haven't in a long time. Flowers are so way over priced now and I get roses for no reason through out the year that I know he thinks of me often.

I am jumping the shower line this morning since we are letting Billy sleep in. He went to Madison Square Garden last night with friends to see Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood perform. Bill saw him at 2:00am and he said it was an awsome concert. This son of mine has become a real country music fan, lol. Years back I can remember pulling my hair out because he used to listen to loud rap music....boy one of us is getting older!

I do need to run and make the most of my work day. I have plenty to do and I need to get some stuff off my desk. Best I get moving now, actually I am at my normal time now so have a wonderful day everyone. Stay warm and get healthy. Everyone taking their vitamins? I just dug mine out of the bin and put them on the window so I remember to take them after dinner. They do not do me any good in the basket.

Good Morning and Happy Valentines Day!

We are looking at blue skies this morning but it is a chilly start to the day and with the wind whipping around. I really do hope the sun stays out today although I really don't get much of a dose of it being in and office all day.

I seem to be in a bit of funk at the moment. Maybe it's the lack of being outside at all. It's been over a week since Otto and I have been out for any kind of walk. I do seem to go into these about once a month. Total exhaustion couple with fighting off the little voices doing battle in my head about getting up and exercising. I was awake in plenty of time this morning-actually 3:45 to be exact but yet one little voice telling me stay in bed and the other one telling me to get through and head downstairs. Otto actually came to the rescue again and needed to go out. Although I still was in debate while changing into my workout clothes and that little voice telling me that I really didn't want to go down there. I did end up down there and found an LS tape that I'm not sure whether I ever did. I'm never quite sure at this point whether I should back off a bit or if I do I know sometimes its really hard to jump back on that wagon. Anyway...enough rambling thoughts.

Whatever DD has had she has now handed over to her BF. She looks better during the day and then by evening her eyes have that glazed over look. My mom used to call it sick eyes. Unfortunately he's still doing home study for his new job and is supposed to be headed to Chicago on Monday for training. He can cancel the trip but they have no idea when the next training session will be-probably months-so he really needs to feel better. They also did a chest x-ray yesterday and saw something on the xray. The doctor called him yesterday but he was on a conference call with his job and by the time he finished and called the doctor back the doctor was gone for the day. I really hope and pray that everything is ok. He must have been on mind last night since I kept dreaming about him and the dreams kept waking me up. I'm a worry wart at heart.

Other DD's BF's mom did suffer a heart attack. Talking to DD I'm not sure how seriously she's taking this since she wants to work from the hospital and is angry at her son and husband that they won't give her her cell phone to check her voice mail. She's supposed to go cardiac rehab and DD isn't sure whether she'll do what she's supposed to do. I certainly hope that she does.

Work is on the agenda today. Work has just been a drag this week. I think it's also part of my mental funk. I just don't want to be there. Not sure where I want to be other than a warm tropical island and mega millions has failed once again. Maybe tomorrow! My boss is working from his house today so not sure what the day is going to hold.

Hope tonight's dinner is more successful than last night. Last night was supposed to be simple tacos. Apparently I got a bad package of turkey meat. The smell almost make me gag and the odor just seemed to linger with me all night. It was each man/woman/child for themselves trying to find dinner fixings. We'll just say the veggie burger I ended up with is not on my most favorite list. With that being said there was a lot of foraging in the pantry last night.

Rhonda-really sorry about your parents and the condo situation. It's so very hard to convince people set in their way. We tried to convince DH's parents and then his mom but there was no budging them. It is very tiring and frustrating.

Margo-sorry to hear about the job stress.

Donna-oh no the gunk-sounds just like what DD has been fighting with. Hope you'll soon be feeling better.

Terry-I'm with you on the total exhaustion thing. I can't seem to shake it this week.

Patty-glad your sister's surgery went well. Thoughts and prayers for good pathology report. Sorry to hear that with everything else you've had to share in the joys of one of the winter bugs and a visit from Flo as well.

Nancy was on mind this morning. Hope everything went ok with her mom.

Thankful that it's almost Friday. Thankful that DD is feeling a little better. Thankful for all of you here and that we have each other for the good days and the not so good days.

Well better run since I seem to be running my mouth a bit this morning! Hope you all have a good day.

Happy Valentine's Day! I got a very sweet, romantic card from Tim this morning. Now, if he'd just put words into action... I got him a funny one. I felt kind of like a hypocrite the way things have been. I think he was kind of disappointed, but I've been disappointed a lot the last 15 months or so. He keeps saying things will get better.

Patty, I'm glad to hear your sister's surgery went well. Continued prayers that the results will be good. You have a lot going on up there, so no wonder you're feeling a little down yourself. I really think the winter blah's play at least some part in so many of us feeling down about things we might normally truck on through OK. Although, a nice break sounds awfully good to me.

Susan, I hope you're back to your more energetic self soon and that your DD's BF'S DM is doing better soon too. Let's hope the heart attack was minor and that they've caught the problem in time to prevent a major one. About the bad turkey, I have a very sensitive sense of smell and don't like the smell of raw meat to begin with. It almost always smells sort of bad to me. I can only imagine the smell that was stuck in your nose. Shiver!!!

LI-Deb, I don't like to get flowers too often anymore either, because as beautiful as they are, they don't last long and cost a lot. I'd rather get live ones to plant and enjoy for a long time. I've got several colors of alstroemerias blooming out front now.

Donna, I'm hoping you're feeling better soon. I hope you can stay in bed as much as possible till it passes.

I talked to my sister in MD yesterday, and she said Lauren is very sick -- fever of almost 104, nausea, weakness, the whole 9 yards. She had to drive down to the island where Lauren lives to watch the 2 little ones and get them to school. They'd both been sick with this first and Lauren told me Tuesday night she thought she was coming down with it. Dad was sick yesterday. His voice sounded about an octave lower. I am hoping it's allergy, but the activities director told me the other day there's an upper respiratory virus going around there. The dr. came in to see him yesterday.

Yesterday, I went through my nightstand (which is really a bachelor's chest) and cleaned out the 3 drawers full of old papers, pictures, postcards, warrantys, and junk like that. I also made a good dent on the piles here on the computer desk. There's still a way to go, but it was an encouraging improvement. Yesterday evening I made 60 chocolate chocolate chip mini muffins for the nursing home Valentine's Day party this morning. I need to get ready to go. It was a day of rest for exercise, which was good, because my knees were feeling it from all the twists during dancing lately. I put magnets on them and that stops the pain almost instantly. It's hard to wear them all the time though, because it limits range of motion. I got my ticket to the Zumba Bash with Beto yesterday, so that was exciting.

It's pretty chilly here today and windy, so I'm going to wear something warm to the party. I'm debating about going to the Flex-It class tonight. I should, because it would be the only class for the last 2 days.

Hope everyone has a good day.
