Good morning everyone. Seems like many of us, if not most, are fighting or have been fighting with colds, flu and other illnesses. Not too mention winter funk. So I thought we could all use some.....

Good morning Miss P. I can say that no one is sick in my house.........for now (knock on wood). The sun is out and it is supposed to warm up today. According to Aunt Linda she heard close to 50.........crazy weather. Went for our morning walk and it feels so good, now I am eating my oatmeal and enjoying my morning tea. Just waiting for my turn to get into the bathroom and then off to work. We kept Katie home today.........school is doing this weird thing. It is a boot camp for kids at the high school. She would be climbing walls, crawling on the gym floor.........pack a lunch, extra water bottles, running shoes, extra clothes????? Like what are they thinking. If it is indeed a "boot camp" Katie can not participate, not with her heart. So we felt it was best to keep her home. Because all her team is doing it and then she would just have to sit and watch them........long day. Little does she know she ain't sitting home doing nothing either, lol. I have some extra chores for her to do since tonight she has plans of a girl friend spending the night.

I spoke with my mom last night and she sounds alright with the procedure, nervous of coarse but not upset. She has to go for her pre-op tests the same day that Bill's mom is having her operation. My moms procedure is scheduled for Feb 27th, same day in and out. My parents also joined my gym yesterday. They have Medicare with BC/BS supplement and that runs a program here in NY called Silver Sneakers. It offers them a free gym membership so they joined my place and they started yesterday. Together they went on the stationary bikes for 15 minutes then walked around the track together.......isn't that sweet? My mom and Aunt Linda

Good Morning

Yes the sun is shining here on LI and weird warmer temperatures are back but all set to drop again tonight. No wonder everybody is suffering from the creeping crud and can't get rid of it.

DD is finally looking and feeling better. BF is feeling better too. Doctor doesn't seem to be overly concerned about the xray but does want to keep an eye on it. He'll go in for a follow up xray after he gets rid of the creeping crud and I guess after this business trip. Hopefully whatever it is or was is related to this illness which is the doctor's feeling at the moment.

A non exercise day for me which allowed me to stay in bed a bit longer although it didn't stop me from waking at the new 4AM hour. At least I was able to go back to sleep.

I was very disappointed after finding a really nice pair of shoes at Zappos.com for next weekend only to find that they're not available in my size in black. I tried to order another pair that were a runner up-also not available in my size/color. Is everyone buying black dress shoes in a 7.5 medium? I guess I'll have to fit in a trip to the mall somewhere between now and next weekend.

Very glad that today is Friday. For whatever reason this has just been a very long work week. Wish I could figure out how to make the workday hours shrink and the weekend hours expand!

So many of you here suffering from illness-hope you're all feeling better soon. I'm glad Bob took good care of you Patty!

Did anyone see Oprah yesterday and the segment about the dog Oogie who had been torurted and had to go through 2 surgeries to reconstruct his face and this family that adopted him and nursed him back to health. It was such a touching story and certainly a love story between this family and this sweet dog.

Deb-that's great that your Mom and Dad joined the gym!

I had better head upstairs to finish getting ready for work. TGIF everyone!

Today is my 1 year anniversary for Zumba. I started going last year for the same reason I've gotten heavily back into it this year -- to meet new people and to get myself in shape. Unfortunately, I got sidetracked last time. I went to a class last night, did a new-for-me 15 minute ABS class this AM before Zumba and a Flexx-It class after, so I've gotten in some good workouts. It's going to take a LOT more! I was pleased that I got myself back out to go to the Zumba class last night. It did me good

Patty, so sorry to hear you're under the weather too. You gotta' love Bob and other pets that are always there to comfort us. I hope you're over it soon. Hope everyone else who's been sick and has family who're ill are doing better too. Donna, I hope you're doing better back at work today.

Mom never did anything about the condo, so that in itself is a decision. I can't say I'm terribly surprised. At least I'm letting it go and now that she's talking about checking out 2 other places I'm not saying a thing except to let her know Tim and I checked out the Del Webb community when it was first completed and it's expensive! I'm not volunteering to look at places
