Ginger hello and welcome to the FOF board. I am home on my lunch hour and decided to check in..........very surprised no one else has said hello. We have been pretty busy around here lately. Either way you found a great place if you are looking for support and encouragement. Defiantly team spirit here, lol. Please post daily all your ups, downs, worries, troubles, questions and you are bound to get plenty of responses. I must say being 46 myself the old bod just ain't what she used to be and that exercise alone may not work just like diet alone may not work. It has to be a combined effort that is proportioned correctly. I am still working out the kinks here and I have been doing this for years now. Some of the ladies have it all together as you will see the more you hang out here while others of us are trying really hard to "get it together". Please stick around and post we would love to get to know you better and help you out as I am sure you will help and encourage the rest of us. Time for me to head back to the office.............work calls!

Hi Ginger and welcome. This is a great place for support. The weights will make a great difference for toning up your body. And congratulations on adding in the brisk walks, great idea!I think it does take a bit longer to see results at our age but hang in there it will happen!!!

It is so discouraging to know, I did this workout at age 40 ( of course I totally cut my fat as I said that time) and it was a huge difference in 12 weeks.

Welcome, Ginger! It's going to take patience, but it sounds as though you're on the right track. As we age and our hormones change and all that garbage, things that didn't used to be a problem suddenly are and things that could be quickly corrected now take a lot longer, if at all. Still, working out and eating healthy are a lot better for us than not. Those often accomplish things we don't see.
