Well I felt fine doing it, but, ( and this is a little personal) I wasnt having normal bowel movements which of course messed up my gastric system and if you have sort of an "iffy" stomach anyway, it isnt great to do that extreme of a diet.
CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!! I commend you on deciding to take the ACTION that is necessary to re-shape your body to a form that is more to your liking. Keep on keepin' on! You'll get to your goal with tenacity and patience.
I have a few points to offer to you as a way to keep your compass pointed in the correct direction:
1. MOST IMPORTANT: Keep your meals in the appropriate portion (CRITICAL) and composition (what you're eating) to drop fat, if that is your aim at the moment; to gain muscle (muscle weighs more than fat and burns fat even while your muscle is at rest), if that is your aim at the moment OR do both.
I cannot stress enough that HOW MUCH you eat will have a definite impact on your appearance (and probably your self esteem). Eat the PROPER amount of food and the right foods and allow your new body to be shown off, instead of buried under unwanted flab.
It is also my opinion that cutting a particular type of food (carbs, fat, sugar, etc.) is not nearly as relevant to keeping one happy with his/her appearance. If someone is eating TOO MUCH, they will gain wait, regardless of the make up of the food they are ingesting.
If someone wants to lose weight, burn MORE calories than you take in. The tricky part is working to gain muscle mass and lose fat. It's possible, but paying much closer attention to one's diet it the key.
NOTE: muscle weighs MORE than fat. So...if your goal is ONLY to weigh less, gaining muscle and losing fat MAY cause you to weigh more even though you may look fabulous. Inches in various body measurements would help you keep positive and motivated if this section described your goal.
2. Have patience with yourself. Your body got to its present state over time. Undoing that will take less time, with concerted effort on your part.
3. Weight training is your friend. Muscle burns fat even while your rest, PLUS, a toned figure is incredible attractive. Learn proper form and know the difference between being sore from a good workout and and an injury. Being thoughtful and careful about your workouts will help to keep you injury free and away from extended layoffs due to injury.
4. Cardio workouts- know your goal. If you are trying to lose fat, oxygen is necessary. If you can't carry on a conversation during your cardio work out, you are going anaerobic (not taking in enough oxygen), which means your body will not be using much of your own fat as fuel.
Be positive! Regularly congratulate yourself for your decision to get into the shape you want and for sticking with the exercise and eating regimen that is required to get you there. Congratulations.
Fantastic! Stick with it. You will get where you want to be...and looking great in a bikini is a wonderful goal.
My experience with 'sore' has been that the sore from working out is discomfort that feels good because I know that I pushed my body past its previous comfort point. An injury though, has caused me: (1) to either be unable to work out because I hurt too much and/or (2) the pain caused a 'hitch' in my exercise movement of choice which, in turn, caused me to either stop mid-movement or caused my limb(s) to go errantly off its intended/natural (& safe)path, putting me in danger of dropping the weight or further injuring myself due to my muscle's inability to keep the weight on the proper (& safe) path. <---How's that for a run-on sentence!?
If I offended you with my original post to you, I sincerely apologize. I did not intend do do so, but sometimes my message sent is not the message received and THAT is my bad.
I wish you all the best in your pursuit of your new career as a bikini model...or at least in looking good in your mirror and/or on the beach and at the pool.
