Looks like bright blue skies outside which is so pleasant to see after a very dismal gray day yesterday.
I ended up in the FirstMed place yesterday. I knew there was no way I was going to last until Monday to see the regular doctor. I did have a UTI and looks like I also had bronchitis. I was running a temperature and was just pretty miserable. After spending the morning at First Med I ended up sleeping a good portion of the afternoon. With Tylenol, antibotics and chugging lots of water and cranberry juice I hope I'll be feeling better today. I called my boss yesterday afternoon and told him that we weren't going to get to his dinner. I felt terrible not being there but knew I wasn't going to be able to get myself into any type of presentable shape to go.
Nothing got done around here yesterday and I'm not anticipating having the energy to try to do anything today. DH did clean the bathroom and wash and dry the towels but that was it. I was hoping that perhaps he might be inspired to at least run the vacuum but never materialized. I'm going to try to lay low today although I may have to make a run to the grocery store-we'll see. I still have a low grade fever so we'll see how I feel later on.
Nancy-hope that you're feeling better.
Rhonda-signs of spring sound wonderful. Can't claim that I've seen any signs under the layer of snow at the moment. Your signs of spring sound wonderful!
Patty-hope the migraine situation goes away.
Well I'm going to wander upstairs and see what I feel like having for breakfast. Hope everyone has a great day.
Good morning! It's a beautiful morning here and I'd love to be outside all day. When I went to get the paper it was sunny, warm, and breezy and the birds around were singing up a storm. Unfortunately, in a way, this will be a mostly inside day for me. We will be working and visiting at Mom and Dad's today. Someone will pick Dad up this morning and we will take him back this afternoon or evening. I am really happy that he is getting to go home today, because it's been quite a while and he's looking forward to it so much.
Last night I started having a little trouble swallowing -- no soreness, just the feeling that something was clogging my throat a little. This morning when I woke up I noticed that I was having to clear my throat periodically and there was a feeling like angel hair in my chest, which is not a good sign. So many people have colds and upper respiratory infections here (including Dad) that it appears I may
Gosh it has been a busy morning here at my house................got up at 9:00 with Bill and enjoyed our Sunday ritual of our quiet morning coffee/tea together. Katie was up not long after us. I grabbed a shower because I was slated for a Peapod delivery between 10:22 and 12:22 and don't you know the delivery truck showed at 10:30 when I was in the shower, lol. Bill handled it for me. We put away the groceries, made another round of coffee then I threw some Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls into the oven. It seems to wake the dead and both boys emerged within minutes of them coming out of the oven. It was very amusing. The washer has been twirling away along with it's best friend the dryer. I have a pot of meat sauce simmering on the stove for the lasagna I will be making shortly. I was online checking out airline flights for the boys down to Florida. Bill sold Robbie's Jr. Dragster to a gentleman from Sweden that happens to be in Florida for the month of March. This man is shipping Robs car back in a storage container.......................I smell money. Anyhow the boys are trying to grab a few days down in the warmer weather and see the Gator Nationals in Gainesville, Florida the weekend of March 14 to March 16th. One of our friends is debuting his car that weekend so they would like to cheer him on. The game plan is for Bill and Rob to drive down with Bill's truck towing a U-hall trailer with Rob's old car and parts on Wednesday night 3/12. Drive a little bit on Wednesday evening and then make the rest of the trip on Thursday getting into Florida late Thursday night. Friday deliver the car and then head back to Jacksonville. Billy will then fly into Jacksonville late Friday night, grab a hotel in that area then drive Saturday morning to Gainesville. Spend Saturday and Sunday in Gainesville to watch the racing and on Sunday night head back into Jacksonville. Billy would then fly out very early Monday morning so he can be at the shop sometime around 11:00 and Bill & Rob will drive back Monday into Tuesday.............sounds complicated, lol.
Our sun is out right now, Bill and Katie are out and about together running some errands. I will be making some lasagna for dinner tonight per Billy's request and going through my summer clothes so that I can pack my stuff for my Florida vacation this coming Friday. Low key around here for me. I was thinking about heading to the gym for a walk but it depends on what time I get this lasagna done. That about rounds out our Sunday excitement here.
