Good Morning
I think I must have missed the black eye thing for Grace too-so what happened Grace?
I myself walked straight into a wall last night. Totally misjudged the doorway for the wall and forehead went straight into the wall. Nice size lump over my left eye. I guess I should rethink turning off the lamp before leaving the room.
Ready or not I'm back to work this morning. I did take the day yesterday and I'm glad I did. I'm still dragging but I do feel like I have to head back in. Now ask me that question around 2PM. I have a regularly scheduled doctor's appointment this evening. I sure would like to know why I seem to be picking up similar bugs over and over again. Doesn't speak to well of my immune system.
Rain is the projected forecast for the day. Looks like another day Otto will go without a walk. Never did get him out yesterday. I feel so bad for him when he just sits there looking at me with those big brown dejected eyes and staring me down.
Nothing else going on around here. I need to head to the bank to cash my paycheck and get some money into the account to pay the never ending circle of bills. I seriously need to get my checkbook and bills in order.
Lori-I'm really sorry about all the stress that's in your life right now. It really is a difficult situation for you. Hugs, coming at you.
Rhonda-hope you're feeling better. The creeping crud seems to be everywhere.
Hope everyone is doing well and thinking of you all.
Susan
Good morning everyone.

Grace has a black-eye???
I'm off to work... LONG DAY!!! Blech.. DD called she is thrilled to find out she is ovalating.. Yes they are trying to have a baby and it hasn't worked in a couple of months so now she is taking steps to figure out why.. I told her to relax and let nature take it's course, but she is a worrier and wants it now... Patience isn't her strong trait..
We walked yesterday.. Nice walk.

Gee whiz, I missed the Grace black eye story, too!

Good morning! OH yes....things taste so much better with good gravy on it. I sure needed it after last week and my gravy was taking care of me yesterday. DH had a nice pork roast with gravy and mashed potatoes for dinner. I think he got a good deal too!
Hmmm...looks like I have you all guessing about the black eye! I thought I mentioned how I got it in a previous post. Anyway, it was my stupidity. While DS was painting, he wanted some music. The house is upside down and I squeezed between furniture to get to the entertainment center. I hit the side of my eye by the eyebrow with the door. It wasn't even that hard but I got lump and then my eye bruised and the bruise is traveling around and under my eye. I am sure it is because of the Plavix (blood thinner). I bruise very easily with it and it makes things look a lot worse than they are. So...that is my tale of woe.
The only plans I have today besides laundry and some cleaning and cooking, is to teach the two classes tonight. We were invited to go to SinL's birthday celebration at 7 but we are not going to make it. I won't even get home until about 6:45 and I will have to clean up, change, eat and then get over there. Truthfully, after teaching those classes, I don't have the energy for it. I won't feel guilty! I made and brought over meatloaf, asparagus, mashed potatoes and homemade cupcakes Sunday on his actual birthday. He was sleeping since he works nights as a police officer but woke up to a birthday dinner. DD is so bad with her back and the late stages of pregnancy, she wasn't able to make anything special...she can barely walk or stand. And...who needs to go and look at a cake that I can't eat since I gave up just about everything for Lent? I am with Nancy...I just keep going to bed earlier and earlier since I have been sick.
Well..that is it for me today and my exciting life...
Hugs

Good thing you are going to the doctor tonight Susan. Maybe you can get an answer to why you are getting sick over and over again. Glad to hear you did take yesterday off and tried to nurse yourself back to health. Your mentioning you had a dr. appointment got me to make my ob/gyn annual and 6 month visit with cardiologist. I have really been putting it off. I hate going to doctors! Blah...
Hope you feel better soon and get rid of that creeping crud. Oh, I hope you weren't jealous of my black eye when you ran into the wall last night and got a bump. OUCH! Sorry about that! Makes you wonder how kids can take all that bumping and keep on going without skipping a beat.

I can sure understand you relief to get home after dance last night. I hate that black ice and so many people do not drive with caution with it. Good thing the streets were better today.
I must have missed it, but where do you stay when you don't make the commute back home every night? Just curious because if you had to pay for accommadations, it would not pay at all to stay close to work.
The news about Jeff sounds really good. It must do your heart good to see him excited about something, especially something that can earn money. Music is good for everyone. I am sure you feel it when you dance too. Glad to hear the ankle is doing better too.

My shins bother me when I start out walking. I don't do it consistently enough to have it stop. It is so strange that my shins don't bother me with all the exercise classes I do, but with the repetitive movement of walking, it changes everything. Of course, my feet start to hurt when I walk too, so that is why I don't walk outside much myself.
I hear you about the food. I eat the right things...just too much of it. I really don't have much left to eat with Lent. I gave up all junk food (crackers, cookies, candy, cake, ice cream, chips, pretzels, etc) and red meat so I should be doing better with just cutting out all that sugar and "white" carbs. Sigh...no such luck.
Hang in there.

Hi, all! Looks like rain later on, and colder temps until the weekend.
