At the risk of two minds working at the same time I'll get the party started for Wednesday!

How's things looking for Wednesday?

Good Morning,

The rain has stopped here and most of the snow washed away but it's still gray and gloomy and sounds like the temperatures are headed back down.

Interesting start to my day back at work yesterday. I left here a little early to stop at the bank and to get to work a few minutes ahead of time. I was making the turn to go to work and I realized that I broke the cardinal rule-left Otto alone with a full bag of garbage and I had emptied the refrigerator of must gos. Quickly changed my route and got home just as Otto was busy ripping the plastic bag in his effort to get to the "good stuff" in the bag. Busted! He looked at me with those eyes of his as a piece of plastic bag was hanging off his tongue and couldn't figure out how to get it off. Needless to say I was late for work!

Doctor's appointment went well although a few issues with his new nurse who as I was stepping on the scale said let's see if you've gained any weight! Great way for me to want to stand on that stupid contraption! Lipitor really doing it's job. After only a month my total cholesterol went from 260 to a 140 and huge drop in the LDL and triglycerides as well. Would love to have done it on my own but I guess my body thinks otherwise. BP was a very good number as well. No explanation for the continuing bugs that I've gotten. Germs are in the office and at home and I just seem to be a prime candidate this year.

I really had all good intentions of getting back into workout mode but after not being able to fall asleep and then waking up at 1AM thinking it was time to get up and pretty much on and off sleep the rest of the night I ended up shutting the alarm off.

Another mishap involving my poor head-leaned down to pick up a water bottle this morning and a shovel (that DH swears someone else left if there) came down and hit me square in the middle of my head-ouch! Maybe I should start wearing a helmet!

Lori I was thinking of you this morning. The news showed some footage from Omaha showing the terrible ice conditions on the road. They showed a car coming down a slight incline that had no way of stopping and he slid right into an intersection and slammed into another car. Made me think of the road conditions that you described the other day. I was really happy to hear about Jeff's project and his enthusiasm. Hope all goes well with it.

Nancy-hope things go well with the dentist. That's my reminder that I need to pay attention to my "remember to make your appointment" postcard.

Well better get this day rockin' & rollin'. I got on the phone last night with my GF out east and never got to my checkbook. The creditors are still looking for money. Need to get that done.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!

Lori please know I am typing this with love and concern for you. I feel your fustration in your situation and I agree with what Karen said about money and all and it is easier said then done but when you are the ONLY bread winner in the family walking away from a good job is not easy nor necessarily the answer. But...........again being said with love here I think you are an enabler to Jeff. I know Jeff has issues and problems but if he is this excited to try this new venture with your love and support behind him then he obviously can work because running your own DJ business is work then why in the heck can't the man get a part time local job to help you out and himself this way he can obtain the rest or some of the money he needs to buy the music and the van and so on.............and do not take the money to buy "his stuff" use the money for which it was intended a new bed for both of you. A healthy good nights rest is so important.

I'm behind on posts and have gotten no exercise this week except coughing spasms. This is the first time I've felt up to posting in days. In fact, I've been in bed most of the time since Sunday night. This upper respiratory infection went straight to my chest and hit hard. They always hit me hard with my weak respiratory system. As of about 5 this morning suddenly it is working its way back up to my head too. I coughed quite a bit around 4 or 5 and woke up at 6 this morning with my pj stop sopping wet. Tim had moved out to the sofa, so I went out to wake him up when his alarm went off.

Rhonda--my friend was given a prescription for cough medicine with codeine, she was having really bad coughing spells with this last illness.

Thanks, ChaCha :-) Deb. Tell me about the new name.

I used to take an old timey prescription cough medicine called Terpenhydrate. Tasted like orange peels and terpentine would, I imagine. Yuck! But it did work. So far, this one I'm taking today seems to be helping. I'm hoping that big sweat during the night and the ongoing sweating this morning is the virus trying to leave my body. Sure would be great. I need to be helping over at Mom and Dad's, not to mention that this is no fun at all.
