Just a quick update on my mom!

Heard from my dad as I was walking out the office door. She was not taken until 11:00, I am sure the wait must have been torture but she was finished and in recovery at 1:00. The doctor told my dad that they believe the got the entire mass and she should be fine. Now I worry about the words, believe and should but I guess I can get more information from my parents later. I am taking what my dad said as good news and running with it. They did not think the mass in her breast was cancer so that is a very good sign. I will let you all know more information as I learn it. Thanks again for all your warm thoughts last week when this was all being discussed and planned. More info on MIL she is doing super great and has hopes to return to Bill's shop to help in the office on Friday. Today she has a nail appointment and hair appointment and was looking forward to them.

I'm relieved to hear the news about your mom sounds good. Know how scary that can be. The dr. wants my Mom to have a sonogram of her ovaries! Now, that's worrying me. So glad I told them to take it ALL when I had my hysterectomy done.
Sounds as though your MIL is going great guns! Good for her for getting pampered today.
Thanks for the update.

Thank you for letting us know about your Mom, Debbie. It sounds like good news so go with that. The docs are vague until all the tests are back so they don't get sued. The same things were said to me after my surgery a year ago and everything worked out fine. Truthfully, if things weren't good, they wouldn't have given that much positive info.
Glad MinL is doing so well too. Things are looking up!

You are lucky you got everything out. I wanted it all out too and well, the docs wouldn't do it. I was told that the other ovary can go "bad" in a couple of years and that bridge will be crossed at that time. Sheesh...who wants to have surgery again if it could have been avoided?
A lot of the time, sonograms of ovaries are just done routinely. Try not to stress...
