getting me down.
The gym I teach in on Thursday and Friday is eliminating the "aerobic" program as of Monday. They are keeping spin and aqua classes but that is it. I am not spin certified so I am out as well as some other instructors. I feel like the rug has been pulled out from under me. No more inten-sati classes! I am down for more than one reason. I love teaching and now I won't be doing it there. Also, I love taking classes there for health reasons. The classes are great and diversified and keep me motivated to exercise. I don't really like any other form of exercise except for different classes.
I do teach in another gym Tuesday nights, but I don't really like it there. The manager told me to speed up the music when I teach and I refused. I won't teach against guidelines and risk getting hurt. I don't like to take the classes there..they stink on the whole (except for mine...LOL). The instructors go too fast and some of them are not even certified. If they are certified, they don't renew it and no one really cares.
I had to get this off my chest. I am really in quandry as to what to do now with my life...exercise life that is.
Got this in an email today...

The owners are always complaining about the pay roll and they just don't get that it is a good program. Owners always complain about the group exercise programs and think it isn't cost efficient. I can't even imagine what the members are going to say and do. There are a lot of members who joined because of the class program. I can't wait until tomorrow and get the reaction of the members.
Thanks for the support guys.

I'm so sorry to hear about this upheaval to your life. Any of the other gyms would be lucky to have you teach there. If enough members raise Caine, they might change their plans.

Grace, I'm sorry to hear that.

That's really too bad, Grace.
Lori
Thank you Lori! There are a lot of gyms...to many actually. Most of them have their group exercise programs filled with instructors. I will go around and get my name on the sub list. There are at least a dozen places I can go.
