The kitchen is closed here and it is a good thing. I overate today out of depression/disappointment/etc and now my tummy is complaining a lot. When will I learn?

Otherwise...it is early to bed for me and maybe my nice warm comfy bed and down blanket as well as some crocheting will help me feel better. Got a chill...supposed to get really cold tonight.

Hugs to all...

Grace, I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well and hope that tomorrow will be a better day.

I seem to be doing a bit better -- definitely better than yesterday and Monday. This URI doesn't seem to last as long as the flu (knock on wood!), so I'm hoping I'm on the mend. It does seem to be staying with Dad a long time though. I'm continuing to take medicine with a cough suppressant and doing all the other things our mothers told us to do. My stomach and lower back are quite sore from all the coughing, but my joints aren't as bad as they were. I was perspiring up till this afternoon, but that seems to have stopped now too.

I was able to get to the drugstore to get some birthday cards for Tim (It's tomorrow.); to the grocery store so we don't starve; did a couple loads of laundry; swept leaves away from the front porch so they don't keep getting tracked in; scrubbed skid marks off the floor from Winston (uuuuggggh! and he won't let me trim his bottom. Going to need help for that and am not looking forward to it.); and have a pot of chili on. I'm hoping the spices will help get the bug out of me too. Come to think of it, I'm doing a lot better. I wasn't even able to stay out of bed yesterday and Monday. I need to take a hot bath and then hop in bed, so I don't overdo it.

Rob and I will go to Mom and Dad's tomorrow and help out however we can. Tim doesn't want to do anything tomorrow night for his birthday. He had a meeting today that's generating a lot more work to be

I hope to feel better after seeing the members at the gym. I just can't imagine there not being a mutiny with cutting the classes with what these members pay at this gym. I hope I can get through the classes without getting upset.

For someone who is sick, you sure did a lot today. Take it easy...this darn bug can keep coming back and leave you fatigued. DH is feeling like that as well as I.

Here's a picture that was taken at the beach today and posted on the surf report. I think it's very uplifting.

Good evening ladies......yes lots of new names. Welcome to each and everyone of them. Please jump right in and post, let us get to kmow you better. Great group of wonderful women!

Well today was a long and busy one. I did play online a few times too, that broke it up some. Katie got invited to my sisters for dinner so I decided to stay at the office until 5:40 to finish up a file that is closing on Friday. Came home to find a man in my house and not one of mine! Actually it was fine, it was our friend Kyle who works for an applaince store. He was replacing two of my four electric burners. One crapped out months ago and I was holding out for that new stove and kitchen redo but that won't happen for a few more months and I lost the second burner over the weekend. Both were the larger burners and with all the cooking I do for this family I guess I needed them replaced. I guess I aint got no excuse now................darn!

Dinner was left overs and since Miss Katie was not home it was easy. I warmed up my vegtable lasagna with a tossed salad. Billy met his "friend" tonight for dinner, Rob had a piece of Sundays lasagna too but his was the regular one and Bill had a simple cup of coffee and a toasted english muffin. Washer and dryer are swirling away again. Katie is upstairn in bed, Rob is upstairs too working on homework and an English project. Bill is in the den in front of the fireplace watching TV or maybe snoring away with Tiger on his lap. My electic blanket is on and I am heading upstairs now. I am beat now since I did push myself and get up and head to the gym at 6:30 like normal, even though my walking buddy is away on business this week. One more day then my vacation starts..........going to pack tomorrow after work. Hey get this Katie decides she is going to try and make me feel guilty about my trip.........blah, blah, blah how know one cares about her, how her brothers got to drive down to Florida to pick up Bill's car last month and how Rob and Bill are heading down again in March....blah, blah, why couldn't I take her along? My response whether politically correct was plain and simple....."this trip was not about her it was about me!" "I simply do not want her or anyone else keeping me company, I want to do what I want and not have to worry about keeping anyone entertained" She did not like my answer and said so.........Bill backed me up with telling her that I was more then entitled and over due for some time off and she needed to mind her own business that she gets plenty! Yeah Bill! No shovel needed today!

My mom is doing well but very sore. They knocked her out completely which we were not sure about. Actually she said the anesthesia doctor asked if she wanted to be out or a local she choose the out option! I guess she will be sore for a few days. MIL drove herself to the beauty shop since I was not around and she did not want to bother me. Her doctors told her to wait intil Friday but she did not listen. I hope Miss P is feeing alright............missed her posting today. Nancy how is that tooth doing? JDeb I do not remember you mentioning if you were volunteering your dancing services or getting paid. I hope it is the paid one since you are now certified and loving it. Rhonda happy birthday to Tim and let us know how your moms remodel goes, take pictures. Well ladies have a wonderful night.........Oh Karen congrats to your son, job well done! You have lots to be proud of!

I put 2 magnets on my back where it was hurting so much when I'd cough (stabbing pains in certain spots) and it's all but stopped hurting when I cough. I should put one on each hip before I go to bed too.

Dancing with the Stars is what got Tim and me to take ballroom lessons back in '05. We still have paid for lessons we never took. We did like the ChaChaCha, West Coast Swing, and Salsa the best. We never really got into the Samba. Did a little Rumba and didn't care for Merengue. Merengue is one of my two least favorite dances in Zumba too. Tim said he used to do disco in like high school or something, but he's never been into dancing since I've known him. My mom has the same siutation -- She loved to dance and Dad never did. Rob doesn't dance either. I brought him up knowing that if he wanted to be a chick magnet he should learn to dance, but would he listen to me?? Nooooooo... So, Erin and I double team him on the dance floor at weddings and embarrass him. I also embarrass him at concerts. What's a mother for??

I have a feeling all our new plants will be killed back either tonight or tomorrow night. Makes me sad. I'm praying wind, cloud cover, or

I took a bunch of mini maracas to class for Cinco de Mayo last year and we danced with them to several songs during Zumba class. It made it festive.
