Thankful Thursday

I would be thankful if Patty is feeling well enough to get online today. Patty, we're thinking of you. I have no insightful message this morning. In fact, I'm sort of sleepless in Jacksonville -- never went to sleep last night.

What's the plan for your day today? What things are you thanking your lucky stars for?

Looks as though I'm first up, literally. I did try to go to bed last night, but just couldn't go to sleep. In spite of the sleeping pill, I was wide awake. I really think it was a reaction to the cold medicine. Sometimes those do that to Tim and to me. I was up and down several times till 4:02, then

Good Morning,

Patty-hope everything is OK with you.

Bright blue skies here this morning but cold and windy. I haven't been outside this morning but hearing that with the wind chill it's down around 0. Still not as cold as some of you but cold enough for these bones!

Speaking of bones, I feel like I need an oil can this morning. Got that thing back up in my neck going down to my shoulder. I don't know whether I'm sleeping wrong, I need a new pillow, cradling the phone on my shoulder at work which is a huge no no or whether I'm just getting old and creaky. Knees are complaining too even though I haven't been working out.

No, I didn't get up this morning for a workout. 1:15, 2:15, 3:15, 4:15 all have something in common. I saw all those hours on the clock. Sleeping has been terrible the last few nights although I don't want to compete with Rhonda's completely sleepless night. Besides the trouble sleeping I'm having a tough time getting my mental attitude in adjustment to start working out again. Any pushing or kicking in the bu** area would be greatly appreciated.

Rhonda- Hope you make it through the day and can get some sleep tonight and Happy Birthday to Tim!

Karen-congratulations to your DS and of course to the very proud parents!

Donna-hope the juices flow for your letter and that the work days start to slow down for you.

Margo-thinking of you and the long hours that you're putting in.

Lori-thinking of you and your issues on the homefront

Li-Deb-glad to hear that things went well for your home and keeping good thoughts for a good report. Good to hear that your MIL is feeling better as well. Glad to hear no shovel needed for the DH and that he backed you up for your Florida getaway.

Grace-so sorry to hear about the gym. I do hope that the participants in these classes have something to say. They say when one door closes another opens and I hope that you'll find somewhere that can use your talents and that you can also enjoy the classes.

This work week just seems to be dragging. My day was spent staring at the computer screen all day. I really dislike those kind of days. They send me home with my eyes burning and my head pounding. A virus apparently got into my coworkers computer and to say that she was cranky yesterday is certainly an understatement. She openly admits that she's a bit of a control freak so when something like this happens that's out of her control she's so not a happy camper.

I tried to get through my checkbook and get everything in order but I was so bleary eyed after work and by the time I got home from walking Otto and kitchen clean up that I ended up leaving most of it until this morning. I'm sending a prescription off to our mail order pharmacy and hoping that there will be medical benefits in place to pay for it. I don't even want to think about the cost if I have to go out of pocket.

Thankfuls

More daylight at the end of the work day

Spring is out there somewhere!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Well, hallelujah for your mom!! That truly is magnificent news and such a big thing to be thankful for.

I wish I could think of a job that I'd look forward to like you do. I can't tell you how many nights that's what's on my mind when I can't sleep at night. I need something to interest me, get me out around people, and PAY me (I'm in great demand for free!), but not tie me down so much that I'm not available to help with Dad or do other things flexibly. I know that's asking a lot.

I have said my prayer for Patty this morning.

Enjoy your day!

Good morning, thought I would have been gone, gone, gone already but I allowed myself to get involved in yet another batch of laundry. Heading on in one minute and figured I might as post before I leave because I doubt I will pop in during the work day...my first thankful is my trip tomorrow. The rest are as follows: actually my top one is really the health of both my mom and Bill's mom, sticking with WW and the exercise even though I get down on myself, my family for their love and support and the weird way they show it sometimes, a second cup of tea in the morning, a washer and dryer that work and can keep up with this family, our warm safe house, a job that I do well at and I am proud to say that, and did I mention my

I'm boarding a flight for FL in about an hour Rhonda--then I'm going to sing you a lullaby...that will put your right to sleep or make you laugh.
