Good Morning and a Happy Leap Day to All of you!
DD has a friend who's birthday is 2/29. I guess that's one way to stay young longer!
A very troubled sleep last night and I've been awake since 3:05. I have very mixed emotions about this whole situation with my sister and basically with my whole viewpoint of how I fit in. Because of the age differences between my sisters I often time don't feel like I ever fit in. They have so many different memories of family gatherings and relationships with cousins and so forth. I guess she assumed that since one child was invited the rest were as well. But the phone message was just wrong. The bottom line is that we agreed to send out the invitations although I am going to call my sister and explain why the boys weren't invited. I never in a million years thought they would be interested in coming down here or in fact obligate them to something and someone that they probably have never met. In fact one nephew practically breaks out in hives crossing the CT/NY border. I have had to consider my sister's age and health and the possibility that she may view this as an opportunity to have the remainder of our family together and have cousins meet that as far as I can remember may have never met. I just hope that they do in fact show up. It wouldn't be the first time that they were invited somewhere and then at the last minute not show up. We also had issues with our own wedding and had DH's aunt storm out of our wedding reception after her kids weren't invited and another one's were and there were just terrible hurt feelings. I think I need a therapy session about my feelings regarding my family!
I'm really hoping that the horrific day of work yesterday is not repeated today. By the end of the day I was so frustrated that I was running my fingers through the top of my hair and apparently pulling so hard that my hair was standing straight up. I know my boss wasn't feeling well and his dad is going through a procedure but he was just out and out nasty yesterday. When I get the word from my coworkers when I walk in the door to look out for the foul mood I know trouble is ahead. Adding to the woes of secretaries from other offices putting words in my mouth and a whole host of issues it was just a very unpleasant day.
But today is Friday and looking forward to the week ahead. My GF and her DH are coming for dinner tomorrow. We haven't seen each other since the fall and we've made plans to see each other several times and they've fallen through. Hopefully, weather will cooperate and we'll have a nice visit. I'm planning a nice dinner and loved all the ideas of roasting vegetables. I had thought about doing that and got some good ideas from the thread. Thanks!
My house is in a disaster since I was basically out of commission last weekend. But I'm hoping for a little energy this evening and hopefully DH will lend a helping hand to get things in some semblance of order. I have to say he really was a great source of support through my emotional breakdown this morning.
No exercise today and had so much trouble buttoning my pants this morning. I really need to get my act together. My eating was been good most days until last night when there was definitely some stress eating going on.
Anyway, it's Friday, the sun is shining at least for now. There is some type of weather headed our way. DD's BF is returning from Chicago today and it's snowing there so not sure what's going to happen with his travel plans.
Hope everyone is ready to enjoy a TGIF!

Happy Leap Day to everyone!
A quick check-in this morning, before I have to get on the road. It's a beautiful sunny day and just brisk enough to be invigorating. I think it will warm up pretty nicely later.
Patty, just have to tell you that our neighbor brought over her famous Cherry Chocolate Cake for Tim's birthday yesterday. He ate approx. 1/4 of it before bed last night!! I shudder whenever I think of his eating habits.

I'm so ready to be a senior citizen :o).
Hello..
I'm off today from work... I was picking up around the house and went to the end table where I had left my wedding ring and two anniversary rings... They were not there.

Lori--so glad you and hubby had the talk and things are better!
Let me know how bed shopping is...Eric hates our bed (sleigh bed) and dislikes the mattresses even more.
