This time of life for a mom and soon to be teenager are so difficult. No, they don't see the things that you see and usually just see you as being "mean". I've been through it 3x and can really sympathize with you.
The workout slumps are difficult too. Just trying to work getting out of one. I do find that sometimes I need to step back for a little bit and I find that I miss it and look forward to getting back at it and gives me a new incentive.
Just a quick hello this morning. Apparently I'm wearing my problem solver hat this morning. I've been on the phone with one DD wondering why they haven't found a cure for stupid boy syndrome, MIL issues before she actually has a MIL. Other DD with medical question, not sure when or where I got my medical degree but gave her my opinion which also stated that she needs to find a doctor. She went so long without medical insurance that she never bothered but now she needs to do that. Had to make sure DH knew what everything was to take to the accountant. He actually is going by himself after me telling him for several years that if he doesn't like the news I come back with that he either needs to go by himself to understand or find another accountant. Then I was on the phone with my younger sister and had a good conversation with her particulary about the events of last week.
I did get up this morning and got in a workout. It felt really good!
Better get moving the hour is getting late! Talk to you later.
Very wise post this morning, Patty. Thank-you. I could definitely identify with it. Happy to hear you were able to solve the problem in CL. As for March, keep in mind that Daylight Savings Time begins in less than 6 days!!! Woo Hoo! I remember when it used to start on my sister's birthday (4/30). Earlier suits me fine.
It's another beautiful day out, breezy and sunny. I'm not sure what the temperature is, but I think we'll be in the upper 70's again. Mom is going to visit Dad today, and I am going to work at their house with my sister and BIL. He is leaving this evening to drive to Sarasota to visit his dad for a few days. They have to go to a few stores this morning, so I can take a little more time getting out of the house than I normally would. He'll be working on installing motion sensor lights, hanging a large bathroom mirror, and things like that, while we focus mainly on priming and painting. I need to be doing some painting at my own house. Maybe this will motivate me to do that before long.
The scale is showing five lbs. less than it did a week or so ago, so I know some of what I'd put on had to have been fluid. Still, it's good to have it gone again. I'm sure a lot of this manual labor is helping, and I have been eating a bit better. I can't keep ice cream in the house. I'll be glad when I'm able to get back to Zumba, but don't dare get that overheated yet.
