Good morning everyone. Debbie, glad you had a good time with your girl friends but so sorry about what happened at home. Very glad no one was hurt during it all. Nancy, I hope it goes better for your husband today. Great job on lifting those weights!

Good morning ladies, I can tell you we all slept like logs last night without any interuptions. Bill got home, ate his meatloaf, helped me clean up the kitchen then headed upstairs for a hot shower and bed. The man was snoring by 9:15. I am just eatting my morning oatmeal and my hot tea and waiting for my turn in the bathroom. Bill was in there longer then usual putting the rest of us slightly behind and with chilly showers to boot. Rob went second and he said he barely had enough hot water, which means I am afraid of what I will get since I am now waiting for Billy to finish up. Katie has a 2 hour delay for school because of NY State Math testing going on.........I just hate when they mess our schedules up like this. Anyway, she will shower and get done and walk over to the shop for Bill to drive her around 9:40. I need to be at the office this morning at 9:00 and on time. Only working until 3:00 and I wish I could stay home again today but I can't. I actually liked being home yesterday. The reasoning s*cked but I still like the pace and feeling. I have to admitt I do miss the old days of being a SAHM. I believe we are supposed to get some rain tonight into all day tomarrow so I hope they get that garage door up early. It is chilly now so I know the shop is going to be freezing until midday when we are supposed to hit mid 40's. Once I get home I have some bill paying to do and I have to wash my kitchen floor. That is about it for my afternoon must do's the rest of the time I will find a book and read a little. Not sure if I mentioned this but I applied to take a civil service test and it is tomarrow morning at a local college. The town we live in has an opening for a law clerk and you need to take the exam first. Once you take the test you get calls from different departments in the town and county for positions. Kind of nervous about taking it and appling but it would be a good step in my future for a job. Right now I work for a small office with 1 attorney who does not pay so great (although he thinks he does) but because the market has changed we do not have so many deals which means the money is not coming in to well.........so that adds to the stress. Well a job at the town level or county level would be full time but the days off and vacation is great, I would get medical benefits which would thrill Bill to no end since we pay for that ourselves ($1,300 a month) and it would give me a retirement package. So I am going to take the test and see what happens. Not sure if I should let my boss know I am taking the test or keep my mouth shut. Taking the test does not guarentee a job, what would you guys do? Well I need to head upstairs, make the bed, iron my jeans and then hop a quick shower. I need to be ontime without question. Hope you all have a good day today.

Good Morning,

I'm predicting a fabulous Friday just because it's Friday and it's a payday. This has been a work week that really needs to be done and over with! Still trying to figure out how to stretch the weekend hours and shrink the workday ones but then again I'm still trying to figure out boys are stupid syndrome.

Today was a rest day for exercise and probably a good idea since there's still a giant cramp in my calf which was in such a knot when I got out of bed this morning that I was hobbling around the house. There are days where the snap crackles pops going on make me feel really old.

Heavy rain and winds coming our way for this evening into tomorrow. We have tickets for a theater group production tomorrow night but if the flooding and everything they're talking about for tomorrow holds true we may pass on going since it's quite a drive from our house to the theater. We'll have to wait and see.

Hopefully the work day will pass quickly and I'll run through the door to don my comfy sweats and sweatshirt, enjoy my evening of letting take out do the cooking and settle in for the evening of doing nothing! Friday nights are just so exciting around here.

Lori-did your bed arrive?

Nancy-hope things go well for your DH today. This must be really frustrating for him.

Li-Deb-I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to Florida. Really sorry to hear about what happened at the shop. I told DS about it and he instantly knew the cost of what was taken. Hopefully the surveillance tape will show something. Really glad none of your boys were there.

Rhonda-hope your Dad is doing better. He's so lucky to have family members that are so on top of his medical situation.

Time to get moving for the day. Hope you all do have a fabulous and fantastic Friday! TGIF!

I would absolutely take the test. Having worked for the county as one of my first jobs (although it wasn't civil service) they have great benefit packages and if you're placed on a waiting list it's something worth doing! The real estate market is horrible right now and we've had a huge drop in the amount of files being worked on. Fortunately for our office we're a general practice firm and we do a lot of matrimonial work that never ever seems to slow down so I know the concern of working for someone who does mostly real estate work.

Take the test-you never want to say if I only....

Good luck!

I would (and did) take the civil service test and not tell my colleagues or boss.
