Ok--I think everyone is out on a date with their special guy if this west coast gal is starting the check in!

Jazzercise was a ghost town this morning.

Well I am heading upstairs in a minute to head under my blankets for an early morning rise tomarrow. Work was busy but not too crazy. Everyone was asking about the problem at the shop yesterday so that ate up a portion of my day. Stayed only till 3 as promised then met Katie at the bus stop and headed home. I couldn't wait to put the old sweat pants on............the house work could have waited though, lol. Actually washed the kitchen floor since Katie and 4 friends are coming over later in the afternoon to practice a dance for gym class........always at my house (argh!). I told Katie to make it from 3 to 5 and then I will drop the girls off for pizza afterwards. I played on the computer tonight with hair styles. Katie and I had the biggest laugh this afternoon. I down loaded a mug shot of my face that Katie took of me this afternoon in the bathroom with my hair pulled back. Then we proceeded to figure out my face shape, measure my eyes and lips and all this so I could do a virtual hair cut....try different styles and colors, well we click this next button and she went down on the ground laughing so hard, I as in my chair holding my sides with tears coming down. The next step before putting different hair cuts with my face was to make me bald. We have not laughed that hard in ages.........so hard Rob came down to see what was going on. When I showed him he lost it too.....it was the topic of conversation tonight at the house. We just had to show Bill when he got home. Needless to say I would not look beautiful bald. I aint no Demi Moore. I have all my "stuff" laid out for the morning and I am nervous but then again there was no studying for this civil service test and I can not be that dumb, right? I will just do my best and see what happens. If something is ment to come out of this it will and I will make my choice of the correct direction at that time. Heck I may never even get a call for an interview so we shall see. I have to be at the colleg at 9:00. It is about a 20 minute drive, 30 with this bad weather. I figure if I leave my house at 7:45, grab a cup of tea for the road I should find the building in plenty of time to relax, drink my tea and maybe read a book for a little while before heading in. I do not think the test will last anymore then three hours but I guess I have no way of knowing until I get there. Well better head up and get some rest.....I will let you all know how I do when I return.......wish me luck!

Well, it won't be a terribly exciting post if all I need to do is say what I did yesterday. ;) Unfortunately, that didn't include any exercise...it's been so cold and miserable where I live that I've had trouble getting motivated to hit the gym in the mornings, even though it's only four blocks from my house. Yikes, how lazy is that? Anyway, I spent the morning puttering about online and enjoying a steaming bowl of hot cereal. At midday, I went out to pick up some canned food for my "brat cat," Darwin, and then enjoyed an egg salad sandwich while watching "The Young and the Restless." In the afternoon, I went out to get a presciption filled, then read a few chapters of a book until my husband got home from work. We had a simple dinner of tilapia, vegetables, and white wine, then pretty much relaxed in front of the TV for a few hours, watching "Jeopardy," "The Daily Show," and "The Colbert Report." Hardly the stuff of legend, but an enjoyable Friday nonetheless.... :)

Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear that your mom has cancer and that I didn't post about it when I originally read your post as I'd intended. I'm really bad about getting sidetracked and have almost no short-term memory anymore. It is good to hear that things are going well for her. Sounds as though the prognosis is very positive. I'll add her to my prayers too.
