Patty, the baby ducks in the picture look like some of the ones in the ponds near Dad. We saw 8 babies with a mother duck crossing the street the other day and they were so precious. I hope your family had some quality relaxing time together. Continued prayers for your sister.
Yesterday, we had a severe storm with lots of rain and tornado warnings all day. That did not keep my sister and me from our appointed rounds at some furniture stores and other various kinds of shops. It was the first chance we've had to get out and do something together since she's been here. We wore our Crocs, waterproof hooded jackets, and took our umbrellas and away we went. We stopped at Panera for some Tart Cherry Scones and tea to fortify us first. We found a really pretty torchiere for Mom's living room to replace an ancient hanging lamp. What a big improvement!
This morning the wind was blowing about 45 mph. I don't know what the gusts were up to, but I picked up dozens and dozens of branches that had fallen in the front yard, side yard, on the sidewalks, and in the street

Donna, thanks for the info on Steel Cut Oats.
I just went to Amazon to check on some books and decided to search Steel Cut Oats.
Grace,
I'm glad you didn't get picked to be on jury duty.
