Seeing the recipes from LisaSayers inspired me to ask this question of the whole group.

This is a curiosity question - I've read a lot about this and it seems that there are different perspectives on this, so I wondered.....

I personally call clean eating as lean proteins like fish and poultry, reduced fat dairy, whole grains and high fiber carbs, and fruits and veggies. No processed foods and no "sugar" and white flour. Lots of water and green tea. No alcohol and no artificial sweetners. Those are my preferences actually. But it is a good base for me to work from.

Of course a piece of dark chocolate...70% or higher every so often is part of that.

For me, eating clean means following the 80/20 rule.

Very sensible, Judy! It is so true that you can't deny yourself of the "good" things in life...what is the point?

I described what clean eating means to me, but it doesn't mean I do it all the time. Oh boy am I human! I think your ratio of 80/20 is about right. Now to keep the portions under control!

I agree with Patty about the clean eating and about the not doing it so much.

My thoughts are like Patty's, too.
