Saturdays To Do List

Sat, 03-15-2008 - 6:39am

Good morning everyone.Margo, I hope your area wasn't hit by the storms last night.Debbie, congratulations to your sister! How weird to wake up and read your post, I dreamed last night I had a baby and was so happy about it.

  • Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.

  • So does everyone have a big to do list for their Saturday? Catching up at home, maybe working out? For those who work outside of the home thru the week do you use weekends to push harder

    Good Morning, Patty-cakes and all.

The boys are all off and running for a day of Paintball. Just the girl and I are left. She has SAT prep class this morning, but after that, we'll most likely go grab a girly lunch.

I have a huge to-do list...lots of laundry, cleaning, organizing, tossing out.

It's Spring! I am really motivated to get moving. I've been sick for the last week and finally have most of my energy (and unfortunately my appetite) back.

I've been checking in on y'all...I just can not get over how busy we all stay!

    I love you guys!

My head is a bit on the scattered size this morning. Just sipping my tea and I need to throw on some clothes and head out the door. My mamo appointment is in 10 minutes, so I will be going with my hair wet and no makeup. But heck who will be looking at my face, right? Then I will pop back in to see if Katie is up and running then over to the gym for a morning walk. I will check back after that because by then I should have a game plan for the day, at least I hope I have a game plan.

    Good Morning,

The rain that was expected finally came our way early this morning. For now it's damp and gloomy but DH said that sun is expected later in the day.

I finally came down to the basement blew the dust off the treadmill and got some walking time in also did some lower body work. The fluff on the body seems to accumulate as fast as laundry around here. I really just need to get back into an exercise routine to keep myself physically and mentally together.

DH did his rounds of resumes and job applications yesterday. He has a local community college that he wants to get to and one more dealership he wants to talk to. No real word from the other guy. He did call DH yesterday and there's supposed to be some type of meeting on Wednesday so perhaps he'll hear something by then about that and we'll just have to wait and see if he hears back from anyone else. Playing the waiting game. At least we had the 3 weeks warning rather than a pink slip on a Friday saying see ya so we're grateful for that.

DH and I will head over to our storage unit this afternoon. Regardless of what happens with the job I think this has been a wake up call for both of us and makes us realize that it's time to cut some things that we can really do without. Most of the stuff over there is older DD's. She's going to have to realize that she needs to do something about that stuff unless she wants to pay for the rental on the unit. I guarantee she has no idea what's over there. And if you haven't touched something in that long well perhaps it's time to get rid of it. I really would love to have everyone go through the stuff before throwing everything back into DS' closet which is another problem since his queen size bed sits in front of it. But there's no room in the basement and I'm not having this stuff sit in the living room until people decide what to do.

My poor house is in dire need of a top to bottom cleaning. It's been really neglected and I'm going to get as much done as possible by early afternoon.

Rhonda-you're on my mind and sending prayers your way for everything going on with your parents and the stress that you must be under at the moment.

Li-Deb-I can understand what you must be feeling about the bracelet. Phil has given me several pieces of nice jewelry and I would be heartbroken if something happened. Congratulations to your sister and bil-a new baby is always exciting!

That's about it from my neck of the woods. I do hope the sun comes out. I could use a good dose of sunshine and would be nice to walk Otto on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Hope you all have a splendid Saturday!

    Susan

OK I am back from that wonderful experience called a mamogram. Well I was way over due, last time I did one was 3 years ago. Based upon my mom's exerience last month I knew I needed to do this. Well I have some laundry swirling away, I put a pot of Steel Cut Oats to cook and I am going to head upstairs and make my bed. Then I will go over to the gym and take a walk. It is still over cast today but I am hoping that is goes away and the sun comes out. I will head to the jewlery store and see if they have another braclet then back here. Katie needs to get a birthday gift for the sleep over tonight and I want to hit the bank and the dry cleaners and the video store. I

I noticed you said it was still overcast there and that you had the blahs. They go hand in hand with me! I have all the windows open in the house today...in the 60's, a little breezy, but the sun is shining. GLORY!

Laundry is about all that's on my list. This is the pay period where I pay for the car, so I have to conserve every drop of gas and every penny I can.

I'm Web-surfing (duh), knitting (a dear friend just became a first-time Grandpa, so I'm making a blankie for his little granddaughter), and I'll probably watch some DVDs. Boy, I wish football was in season!
