Good morning everyone.Margo, I hope your area wasn't hit by the storms last night.Debbie, congratulations to your sister! How weird to wake up and read your post, I dreamed last night I had a baby and was so happy about it.
So does everyone have a big to do list for their Saturday? Catching up at home, maybe working out? For those who work outside of the home thru the week do you use weekends to push harder

Margo, I'm relieved to know you're OK. I watched the results of those horrible storms and was concerned about you.
I am on emotional overload right now and can't seem to process much more. Drove to the beach this morning to get away because I thought I'd suffocate if I didn't. I walked for a little over an hour and basked in the sun and the salt air. It was low 70's with a nice breeze, so was perfect weather to look for shark teeth. I found a bunch and some nice ones, but haven't counted them yet. Went straight from there to the hospital. Dad was in bad shape emotionally this morning. He was crying like an abandoned child on the phone to Mom. She was still down again today, and we finally persuaded her to let a neighbor take her to the chiropractor. It is the sciatica. He did a number of adjustments, put her on anti-inflammatories, and ice. I tried to check in with her when I left the hospital, but her line was busy. I did talk to her 3X today and will try again in a minute.
I was with Dad from 12:20 to 7:10 today. Just felt he shouldn't be alone. My younger sister and her boy friend had expensive tickets to a pro hockey game down in Tampa, so I told her to go and if she needed to know anything, I'd call her.
Dad started a new very powerful IV antibiotic tonight. We don't know if his kidneys can tolerate it or not, but that's about the only thing this super bug is sensitive to. He's been on so many antibiotics already. He is extremely weak and often confused. If he does OK and the nursing home agrees it is qualified to give him this particular medicine, he might be able to go back to the nursing home tomorrow. If they're not comfortable administering it, he'll have to stay in the hospital longer, which he hates. He's fortunate to have a large, very nice private room and all the staff is wonderful.
Rob and I had some quality time together last night. We went to Borders, PetsMart, and Panera for a light dinner and had some good conversation. Anna is over for the first time in about a week. She's been sick and still has a slight cough. Rob signed his CG papers Thursday.
I'm sorry I can't contribute more right now. That's one reason I'm not posting much. Doesn't seem right to tell you my troubles and not keep up and

Rhonda,
So sorry to hear your dad is not doing well. I hope the antibiotics work and he can get out of the hospital soon.
Enjoy your time with Rob - he seems like a special son.
Take care of yourself.

Nancy, hope you and DH are at a quiet time where you can rest and recuperate.
Donna
Rhonda,
You've been here for all of us and now it's our turn to be there for you. Don't ever feel like you can't post because you can't address us individually. We already know that you're thinking of us as we're thinking and praying for you.
There's no doubt that you are in true emotional overload at the moment and I'm glad that you were able to get to the beach for awhile.
Please come by and let us know how you are and your family. If you need to talk we're hear for you and if you need to step back for awhile well we understand that too. Just know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers every day.
I hope that the antibotic treatment helps your day and that your mom's condition improves with treatment.
Sending you huge ((((((hugs))))))))....just wish they could be in person.
Hugs,
Susan
